Guest posting help

Hi, I wanted to know if there was a way to let guest post in a certain forum. I want to allow guest to post in this thread: pokenation.boards.net/thread/49/guest-post

Hi

You can allow and disallow guest posting with a specific board, but you can't for specific threads [unless of course that thread is in a board of it's own].

You can enable / disable guest posting via the admin area:

Structure >> Categories and Boards >> Hover over the board and click the cog >> select permissions >> for replies select 'everyone'.

I followed your directions but when i tried posting as a guest user on my tablet the page refreshed and my comment didn't go through.

Which board on your forum? I will give it a test for you on a computer

The Guest Board I moved it to the guest category.

Hey there mrlamont,

I was experiencing your issue at first as well, but when temporarily disabling plugins for myself the captcha popped up and I was able to make a post as a guest. To determine which plugin might be causing this, I advise disabling them one-by-one, attempting to make a guest post in between each disable.

When you're finally able to post as a guest, the last plugin you disabled will have been the cause.

David, I found the plugin that was causing the error; it was the monetary system. I wanted to know if there was a way that I could get both (the guest forum and the monetary system) to work together.

If the problem is with that particular plugin, you should let Peter know in the plugin's thread if someone hasn't already filled him in.
