Vinh, none of the issues that occur on Chrome on a regular, consistent basis, including this one (which is the least frequent) occur here on Support. I can only assume that's because it is devoid of most of the "extras" we put on our individual sites and/or the fact you are on a different server.

♥ ℒʊ√ ♥, in the past hour or so, have you noticed any improvements on your forum? Any relief from errors? We made some internal network changes that seem to have made a significant difference.

Most that experience the issue say it occurs while modifying a thread rather than creating a new one and in addition if it occurs multiple times they generally note that it is a specific thread rather than random threads. I did find one instance (maybe two) where someone claimed it happened on the support forum itself.Forum URL: gwendeth.proboards.com/I've been looking through the forum but haven't seen this one: I upgraded my forum and just now went to create a new thread, but even though I've typed the thread title and text into the box, when I click the 'create thread' button to submit the thread I get a message stating "you must provide a message"??? What is that? I am the admin, and should not have any problems creating threads! What "message" am I supposed to "provide"? Help please! forumYes I am trying to save a thread and it wont let me, it says "You must provide a message" sorry I cant give you a screen shot, I spilled cola on that side of the keyboard and the PRTSRN key does not work :( Forum URL: thenotablenook.comalot of times when im modifying a major thread on my site, an archived thread with all my posts on it, i get one of those little brown messages in the big input in the Posting Page annd what ive just entered wasnt saved, i have to enter it again. i cant lose this thread its my whole site and over 100,000 characters. so i have to copy it everytime i modify. all im entering each time is Read The Rest Here i only add one url at a time hit save and it doesnt save, i have to copy it this is the thread thenotablenook.com/thread/6087im not missing a title or message, just adding to the post, what can be the problem, it happens alot Well this is really ridiculous... I have no problem creating threads when I'm in Firefox, but IE will not let me. This is what I get after I click "create thread" after putting in the title and after I typed text - the text is wiped out and replaced with the message: Again, this does NOT happen with Firefox, but I shouldn't have a problem using IE if/when I want/need to. smangii.proboards.com/thread/39051/board-thread-windowsI made a post earlier telling someone how to do one thing, and that I would respond later to help with their second question/problem. So I did that, I went back and edited my post. I was just using the preview section to write a reply, and I had written a decent amount explaining how to do something, and when I clicked "save changes" it refreshed the page and gave me a "you must provide a message" popup. For starters there already IS a message in there, and for seconds, I had provided a HUGE amount of writing. Now it's ALL GONE. The whole edit has vanished. Completely. It's just what it was before I had selected "edit". This is seriously not funny, and on top of everything else (err bear issues, no data received error etc) it's beyond a joke. I just clicked "back" on my browser (Chrome), and got all this in the message (proof I did edit, at least, but no consolation since now I will have to go through it all and edit):

May 27, 2013 4:19:56 GMT 1 nyos said:
I know that back in v4 you could alter the window1 and window2 to have different colors and/or use an image for each... where would I find this in v5 and how would I add a window bg image to them?

They are no longer window1 and window2 backgrounds.

For an image: Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Body (content) > Lists (Boards, Threads, Posts...) > Rows

As for alternating the backgrounds, unfortunately it isn't a simple setting in advanced styles, BUT it is very easy to do still
I will explain very shortly, in about 40-60 mins (I have only just woke up).

Edit:
Ok so, go to Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Board > Board List
On line 33 you should see:

{if $[board.threads] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.threads]{/if}

Add the following to it:
style="background-color: #cccccc;"

So it becomes
<td class="threads" style="background-color: #cccccc;">{if $[board.threads] == -1}N/A{else}$[board.threads]{/if}

Do the same thing to line 35, which is:

So it should become:
<td class="latest last" style="background-color: #cccccc;">

Click "save", and then staying in the same window, select the "Thread List" tab.
Line 17 you should see:

$[thread.created_by_user]

Do the same as above, and add the green parts in so that it becomes:
<td class="created-by clickable" style="background-color: #cccccc;">$[thread.created_by_user]

And finally, line 19 do the same:

$[thread.views]

Should then look like:
<td class="views" style="background-color: #cccccc;">$[thread.views]

Change the hex code (#cccccc) to the colour you want to be the alternative colour.

The part for Board List will change the background colours for: Threads, and Last Post
The one in Thread List will change the colours for: Created by, and Views.

Clicking "back" on my Chrome browser duplicates Stinky666's "back". David Clark, I've been out this afternoon. I will report back after using the forum for a bit. There have been complaints all day from other members though. And the few posts I've made in the past 25 minutes, I'm getting a "wonky" Participated Screen that I reported on another thread a few days ago. It stacks after opening.

Chrisi made a duplicate thread of one of the threads it happens to me all the time, just adding the one • [a href="http://thenotablenook.com/thread/23010"]2007[/a] it does happen for me forum wide and has happened at least 25 times since midnite. that many times or more a day everyday for me if youd like to investigate thenotablenook.com/threads/recent/25662i disabled this plugin, i know i was sure when i thought it was yours, but ive been disabling this plugin for two days and modifying a new project over and over, the Read count is at 120 for two days, thats how many times ive modified, divided in half. it never does it when its disabled but it does do it if i enable it just to check. im the only one who uses this plugin but if it can be used as example do anything you want to the thread i posted its just a duplicate Tables.pbp (1.94 KB)

Just went "board surfing" ~ 10 page loads/2 "no data received".
But again, the speed of the load is quick ~ which was missing before. There was a definite lag time. Particularly after hitting "post" and waiting for it to "take".

There were some fixes made late Friday. Has anyone gotten the "You Must Provide a Message" error since then?
