I keep getting the error  YOU MUST PROVIDE A MESSAGE

sometimes the post will save and post  - other times I have start again
seems a ramdom thing - And having draft enabled did not save the content

When creating a new thread - Editing a post

I thought it might have been the Monetary System Plugin as I just installed it

If it helps, I reported this, and discovered it happens with the Yootil plugin. Try disabling that to see if it works.

Yes that worked - Problem is though -  Disabling the yootill also disables other plugins
That need the yootil plugin to work - Like the Global Messages plugin

Hopefully it wont be to long before Peter can check on the yootil plugin

Yeah I know, unfortunately.
I have made Peter aware of the issue and he is looking into it, if that helps

For me so far, I have only noticed it on one thread (the one provided in that link above).
If you have any specific threads it's happening on, link to them here and hopefully he will see (since I have tagged him)

Could you do what Stinky666 done, and that is to disable all plugins apart from Yootil and then see if you can duplicate it?

I am having issues duplicating it, and the strange thing about it, is that Yootil does not modify forms or hook into them by its self.

Does anyone get any JavaScript errors when the page is loaded, and when you hit the button?

If someone is able to setup a test account with edit post powers, that would help me solve it quicker.

Am not too active at the moment, am taking a little break from programming, as I do it as a day job as well. So working and then writing more code in my spare time can get very boring. Just thought I would let you guys know, as some people are quite impatient.

I disabled all the plugins I have only have the yootil plugin enabled
I did some test posts here  thecreativepen.proboards.com/board/12/help-page

When I first did a create thread page - had no problems

Also did a test reply to that thread - had no problems

Then When I tired again  create thread  - I got the page  connection reset

I then went to the forum homepage link - tried again and got the connection reset when creating a thread

I use Firefox 21.0

Sometimes I can post with all enabled and no problem - It seems a random thing
with the You must provide message error

I had this error earlier.
I quoted a post, wrote a reply & posted.
Then I got the error & had to start all over again.

I don't have the Yootil plugin and I use Chrome and get the same message.

FYI, the forum in the following quoted post is having the exact same message and problem and they do not have yootils installed. It might help to avoid chasing one's tail ...

When Editing a post it seemed to hang then gave that error
its like i say a random thing i can post/reply/edit with no problem
Then it will happen again - then have to go the homepage click on the board/thread/post
i was going to reply too or create thread in

ps I need the plugins enabled - if still need further help
and need them disabling again - Give us a shout - happy help

sxtoveuk, I was stating (for Peter's benefit) that this is more likely a parsing problem rather than a plugin problem, he's on a PB hiatus and would more than likely be wasting his time trying to track a bug down that has nothing to do with yootils (as also confirmed by ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥) as I did during the Salem Witch Hunt.

Your observations are appreciated because it adds to the mountain of data sometimes needed for proper diagnostics but I was speaking directly to Peter.

Since this weekend, posting, loading, changing pages, etc. has gone from bad to worse. The board lags, it times out. You post and it goes nowhere. As I stated on another thread, it's worse than the days of dial-up.

Thanks Eaton - no problem

It's a strange one this error - i can go through all my boards
giving a reply - or editing a post and can have no problems
(That's with all plugings enabled)

Then out the blue - doing the same thing I'll get that error
it's not so frequent as was - just get error now and then
firefox 21

I can't think of anything different that i did before as to narrow it down
as i either click reply to comment or edit a post
only can say it's a random - but not as frequent as it was
