Hey guys, I currently have it set to show likes on the footer part of a post (left side). On the right side of the footer is the "reply" button. I'd like to have both the "edit" and "quote" buttons by the "reply" button. Help is appreciated

Hey again Baller95, What's the URL of the forum in question?

Edit and Quote are post-specific actions, while Reply is thread-specific. What would quote or edit buttons near the reply button do?

I'm still unclear what the buttons do. If you have an edit or quote button in the same bar as the reply button, which post does it edit or quote?

Well I want it to activate whenever the buttons apply for the post. If it's my post, the "edit" button will show. If it's not mine the "quote" button will show. If you know what I mean

The reply button occurs once at the top and once at the bottom of a thread. If there are ten posts in the thread, which post would these reply or quote buttons effect?

I'm afraid I have to second RedBassett's confusion - taking a look at your forum it seems as though you have the reply button towards the bottom of the page, so if we were to move the Edit, Quote etc, buttons down next to it, it wouldn't work.
Were you saying that you wanted to move the buttons down into the post footer where you have the "DJ likes this" text?

I have put together a quick mock-up to demonstrate the confusion David Clark and I have. In the attachment, I have added the edit and quote buttons near the reply button. If I click edit or quote, which of the posts in this thread does it affect? Attachments:

That would work if there was a reply button at the bottom of every post, Baller95, but from what I can see there is just one reply button on the very last post of a page. Is this not the case for you?

Yes David, that's correct. But could it not get put in there if the reply button wasn't there? I'm just wondering because if it'll always be on the "header" part of the post, why couldn't it be moved to the "footer"? Edit: Have the buttons under the signature row like on pic below. Attachments:

It is very possible to move the quote and edit buttons. You can request a template to make this change, and someone can show you how to do this. As for the reply button, they don't exist on every post by default, but they could also be added as part of the template modification, but each reply button would do the same thing as the main reply, you would just have a copy of the button on each post. Clicking any reply button would add a reply to the entire thread just like the existing one.
