Sortable Image Selector

Would it be possible for the image control available to plugins be made sortable? Right now it seems to be following the order the images were added to the plugin making it impossible for a user to alter that order short of deleting the images in build mode (if available) then adding them back in the desired order. Something like the following would be ideal

While I agree that this would be a cool feature, what about in the instances when coders want them to be organized in a specific manner?

If a user messes up a plugin because they put in bad settings then the burden is on them. if an image is capable of being sorted, but shouldnt be, and the user changes its position then the core of the code should account for it.

Wouldn't an additional option making it sortable or not address that concern, similar to "Allow more than one image to be selected by the plugin user" [yes|no]?
