Alright, so my old (and still in V4) site is Metaphysical guise.proboards.com/My new site (in v5) is Alcryst alcryst.proboards.com/Although Metaphysical is in Maintenance Mode, you can still see the side-tables, which is what I'm trying to imitate. In the Cbox Sidetable, there's a box that says CLICK FOR CHAT RULES. That is what I'm trying to recreate on Alcryst. However, I am not the one who coded that box so I have no idea how it was done. I tried inspecting the page source and the element and using the coding I found there and it didn't work. I figure I probably did it wrong and, even if I did it right, it probably wasn't right for V5. While I am working on learning Javascript, I'm definitely not advanced enough to understand this stuff yet. Any help is appreciated =)

Hi, ₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪. Use this code to enable toggling of items on the page (it should only be used once). And here's the Cbox one as an example. I switched its inline style to display: none; to make it hidden on page load. Overall, most of the old ones should work if you copy them over and change their spans to display: none; instead of display: block;

Where should the first code be placed? Thank you VERY much, Brian, you're a life-saver. I was just staring and blinking in "ohno"-ness. xD

Are you using the Sidebar Redux plugin? I'd place that code in its header if you are.
Otherwise, it can go in your Global Header.

I added a Header/Footer tab to its Manage page for users to add things specific to the sidebar. You can use that instead.

Hmmm, Brian, it doesn't appear to be working. I have it at the bottom of my cbox sidetable on Alcryst and it's not toggling anything when clicked. Did I do something wrong?

I don't see anything at the bottom of your Cbox sidebar. Did you remove it?

I figured it out. I messed up the code. I updated it in my post and updated it on your forum. Can you try now?

I'm not sure if it's just for me, but it's not closing upon click, Brian. It opens up just fine but doesn't collapse when clicked. I could've sworn it was doing it before, though, so I don't know if my CSS-styling messed with it?

Looks like it's a problem with jQuery's toggle function and how it works with spans in Chrome.
I changed the span containing your rules to a <div> and it seems to be working now.
