Forum URL: euromir.proboards.com/Hello. I had created a text thread for instructions on a Hallowe'en event for my game. All thread complete, I attempt to add attachment of an image. On adding, it wipes my text and just leaves the post with the attachment number. Grrr ! I had this happen to me some time back when things were still very much beta. Forgot about it until now. Can we have or is there an autosave or draft facility ? Failing that, how about some sort of undo feature.

Hey there Zath, Sorry to hear that happened. When it does, though, you might be able to press ctrl+Z on your keyboard (or right click and click Undo) to use the Undo option built into most browsers to get the content of your post back. Adding an attachment and inserting it into the post shouldn't clear out the message content, though. Can I ask if it was possible that you had the text highlighted when you inserted the attachment? That's the only way I can think that this might have happened (assuming it wasn't a glitch of some kind). Also, just to add, we do have a Drafts feature that can be enabled in Profile > Edit Profile > Settings > Enable Drafts. If you navigate away from the posting page after having typed some content up, heading back to the posting page or thread will pop up a dialog asking if you'd like to restore your post.

Thanks for the quick response.
No, nothing was highlighted. All I'd done was to create a couple of clear lines with the return key.
I hadn't thought about undo on the browser, I just used the back arrow like a twonk.
Thanks for info on the draft feature, I was unaware of it. That said, I've been off the radar for some time as far as proboards goes.
Regards

I see, thanks for the details.
I just popped into Internet Explorer 10 (which it appears you're using) and tried to reproduce the issue without much luck. Does this happen each time you insert an attachment with text composed, or was it just the one time? If the former, are there any steps you can give me to help reproduce the problem reliably?

Happened some time back when forum first changed and, like now, assumed it was my lack of familiarity with new software.
I'll try and reproduce it again but will be a little later.

Ah - alright, let me know if anything comes up in your testing. Like I said, also, the next time you notice it happening, you should be able to easily retrieve the cleared text by performing an Undo.
