Forum URL: http://.proboards.com I have read through the TOS, as well as searched regarding this topic, however, have not found it to be addressed. The question is this: Does proboards have a policy against additional paid advertising within a forum user's signature? As an example, suppose I'm an active member of exampleboard.proboards.com and I have accumulated a lot of posts, such that an outside company would like to pay me directly to have their logo right next to my sig. Is there a policy prohibiting this? Thank you,

I'm sure you can if it's not in the TOS, but Yugi is right, let's see what a staff member has to say.

That would be a no. I could double check if you like, but as far as i have been made aware, it isn't allowed, sorry.

I would like to be absolutely certain. If it is indeed the case that it is not allowed, how would this be monitored? How would one differentiate between paid advertising and just a plain free endorsement (suppose I really like Apple products and would like to display their ad next to my sig). You guys do a fantastic job with Proboards, which is why I am respectfully trying to find out what limitations there may be so as not to infringe. Thanks. Answer or further discussion by PM or email (retailconsultant@hotmail.com) is cool if that's easier.

I have a questian in refence to this topic but it's not worth making a new topic for it. Are you allowed to have paid banners on your forum? something like fastclick's banners in your main or global headers or footers?

Proboards Policy on this is that if you are making money from the adverts you place on your forum then you must purchase ad-free for your forum from Proboards.
