If so where? Thanks! Kelly You put the meta tags between <head> and </head>. Really meta tags aren't really used by browsers anymore. The only thing I do is put a description in for my site, which the search engines will pick up and show when your forum show in the search. However, that said, it doesn't hurt anything to add them. I really don't know what good it would do in boards at all but like I said, it won't hurt anything if you add them to the board header via headers/footers of that board.

Meta tags are mostly like things for board description, there isn't much benefit to having one for each page (especially because thats a lot of work)!
Try to put the tag as close to the top as possible!

What additional meta tags would be necessary on a forum? The board already has the basics included. Unless you're getting into blackhat SEO practices, you won't benefit from them and regardless, Google will ignore all but the description. Attributes like charset are for the browser's benefit.

I simply want to customize the title tag for the home page because I've noticed in the template wrapper the following code is used:
<title>$[title] | $[forum.name]</title>
Is there any variable that identifies the homepage in order for the following wrapper code to work?
{if $[IS_HOME_VARIABLE]} <title>This is my custom title for the homepage</title> <META NAME="DESCRIPTION" CONTENT="What's my forum about"> {else} <title>$[title] - $[forum.name]</title> {/if}

Hi,
You could have an if statement, for example
{if $[route.name] == "home"} code to be executed if condition is true {else} code to be executed if condition is not met {/if}

I took your advice and just added them for the title and description.
Thank you for your help!
