Forum URL: weightlossurgery.proboards.comI have a member whose account was deleted. I checked the security logs and neither she nor I deleted her account. She does have a very similar name to a banned member who, quite possibly asked Proboards to delete her account. The banned member was MsCello. The good member is jpcello. Alphabetically, they would have come across jpcello first. Anyway, that's my theory. I deleted banned Cello myself. Is there any way to restore good jpcello to her account? Can I post her IP here for identification? Thank you for your help! Kelly

Hi,
I have no logs of this user asking us to remove their account, either through support or through our Abuse department. It is not possible for us to recover deleted accounts.

Her posts are still on the board. Is it possible to transfer them to her new account which is using the same name?

You are able to create a new account with the same username, but the posts would not be editable, just simply linked. Edit: Correction, not linked in v5. This is because v4 actually used the username, whereareas v5 uses the User ID.

I'm a little confused with all this talk of "non-editable" and "linked".
What you are saying is that nothing can be done to help her?

The best course of action would be for the user to register an account with the same username they had previously. Beyond this there isn't anything we can do to help, sorry.

Well thank you for trying.
It should be an easy thing to do; linking a user's IP to the posts with the same IP in the database, so I had hope.
Once again, I greatly appreciate your help!
Thank you! Kelly
