Just wondering if having the same IP address as another member or guest on proboards could possibly have caused her ban? As in someone with the same IP address got themselves banned automatically and thus it affected her account, too, which would explain how she was making forum requests while not being online for that week. This isn't a question I personally want answered, just a possible reason for the ban's reason to take into consideration if Ricky does say it is possible No, she was online and posting at different sites this week, just not here at support for a week, is what I think she meant.

In order to trigger the automatic block you would have to be making 10+ requests a second, not 10 requests in a min! How is that even possible?

You would be surprised at the frequency that this happens, that's even on the low end from some of the logs I've gone through. It varies from someone scraping the forum to someone holding down F5.

The time frame is extremely small; it's a matter of seconds. Just as an example, if you hold down the F5 key on your keyboard, this causes multiple requests in under 2 seconds which is un-natural and would cause the flag to occur. Regular browsing and posting scenarios over the course of minutes wouldn't cause a flag Edit: Just saw ₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪'s post, if multiple people share an IP address and are members of the same forum, it's possible this could cause a flag if two people happen to do similar repeated requests at the same time. Everyone has a different ip though don't they? F5. I never ever use it. I don't know why but on my HP laptop when someone would tell me to hit f5 for a refresh it would make my system reboot, not refresh so I just avoid that key like the plague.

If there are multiple people in the same household, they would have the same IP address. Also, some ISP's (while extremely rare) do share the same IP address for their customers. AOL used to do this, for example, but I'm not sure if they do it anymore.

I have to admit, it's been a while since I've seen anything about it if they do

It's worth noting that a request to the server just means a general connection to the server. But in order to be flagged by the system, there would have been many requests to the server in a very short amount of time. Just as some examples of what we're talking about, if you were to rapidly click the Like button on a single post to rapidly like and unlike a post constantly, hold the F5 key down on your keyboard to rapidly refresh a page, or make multiple posts at the same time, these would be a few common examples of what would cause an automatic system ban. I have high doubts it's hacker related I was having trouble starting my PC lately and it was logging into the same site a dozen times or more when I started it. Maybe that caused the trouble. I'm no computer wizard and I let the problem grow. On one pb forum and only one I remained unbanned and was able to post and pm normally.
I deleted a bunch of junk data on my PC and deleted some programs that I never use. I hope the problem is solved now.
I do feel it's unfair that CloudFlair claimed the website owner apparently meaning the admin banned me. This could cause a lot of unneccesary drama, if Cloudware's claim is believed. Gibby was shocked and would never ban me nor would the admins on the other forum where I got Cloudware's ban and false claim. Cloudware isn't the forum owner or is it?
Thanks for your concern RickyZ.

Would have been by luck then; The 1006 ban is a complete server ban, so she shouldn't have been able to access anywhere. I went to TrueBlueLiberty first where I was already logged in. Because of the computer start problems I was closing all my windows when I shut the PC down except one and that was TBL this time. When I tried to log into the other pb forums I got the ban notices, but TBL remained unaffected.

I guess I jumped the gun with the hacker attack suspicion. This happened at the same time when a global mod deleted after having a disagreement with me and others. CloudFlare's false claim that the forum admins/owners were banning me made me think it was the work of an insider and a hacker. I apologise to the ex mod for the suspicion, but CloudFlair has to state "CloudFlair banned you" to stop nonsensical and unjust suspicions from surfacing.

Ricky, I have a question that pertains to all this. Anna was still able to log in and post at my site, even though she was 'banned; from several other pb sites. If your server banned her wouldn't that cover all pb sites? Yes, including the support forum here. If she was able to login and post on your forum while her home IP was banned, she was likely posting with a different IP that is not banned, such as an internet cafe that she posted with originally in this topic No that was my home PC where I was able to post on BLC's forum. Maybe if you access a proboards forum before the ban takes affect you can stay there despite the ban. I'm pretty sure I would have been banned there too, if I logged out and tried to log in again.

I am thebut global mod that "quit". I have no idea how to hack computers and I find it quite hurtful that you would accuse me of such a nasty crime. I accept your apology ?anna?, but please, do try not to jump to this kind of conculdtion all of a sudden. You almost gave me a freaking heart attack lol. This post has been edited severely.
