If someones less that computer literate with all the hacking scare mongering what do you expect to happen (No offence to you Anna just saying in general) How would you feel if you was assued of something like this? I don't think you or anyone would be to thrilled. But I do see your point.

I'd shrug it off and ignore it? I'd not go attacking people for reacting in panic when they'd apologised

This is the first time I've been assused of something like this. So I guess I over reacted q bit. I can't hack a Pokémon Emerald save file let alone a computer system.

It's worth noting that a request to the server just means a general connection to the server. But in order to be flagged by the system, there would have been many requests to the server in a very short amount of time. Just as some examples of what we're talking about, if you were to rapidly click the Like button on a single post to rapidly like and unlike a post constantly, hold the F5 key down on your keyboard to rapidly refresh a page, or make multiple posts at the same time, these would be a few common examples of what would cause an automatic system ban. I have high doubts it's hacker related I was having trouble starting my PC lately and it was logging into the same site a dozen times or more when I started it. Maybe that caused the trouble. I'm no computer wizard and I let the problem grow. On one pb forum and only one I remained unbanned and was able to post and pm normally.
I deleted a bunch of junk data on my PC and deleted some programs that I never use. I hope the problem is solved now.
I do feel it's unfair that CloudFlair claimed the website owner apparently meaning the admin banned me. This could cause a lot of unneccesary drama, if Cloudware's claim is believed. Gibby was shocked and would never ban me nor would the admins on the other forum where I got Cloudware's ban and false claim. Cloudware isn't the forum owner or is it?
Thanks for your concern RickyZ. ProBoards pays for the Cloudflare integration, so in Cloudflare's eyes Proboards are the owner of the website. Since the ban was put in place based on settings we provided, we technically banned the connection so the message reads that the website owner banned the connection. I don't believe we're able to customize the message, unfortunately. If you've been banned by the forum admin, you would get a message that simply reads "You have been banned from this forum." -- otherwise the 1006 or 1007 error pages would be on a service level either from ProBoards or Cloudflare, despite what the message reads. Hopefully this helps clarify

Hopefully this helps clarify That is unfortunate that the claim that the forum owner banned you can't be replaced with something truthful like "CloudFlair security has banned your IP". A brief explanation where the problem may lie would be helpful too. Maybe CloudFlair can update this in time to spare forum admins, etc. from unjust suspicions. It certainly wouldn't hurt to enquire.
Thanks again RickyZ! You get my vote as proboards MVP!

It's a little complicated, but I'll try to detail just a little bit more to provide some clarification. Cloudflare has nothing to do with the block, other than the fact that we utilize their services. Any 1006 block that's put in place is based on settings that ProBoards provides to Cloudflare, so ProBoards is the one that put the block in place. It wouldn't be fair to Cloudflare to mention anything about their security systems since that would likely cause people to try and contact them for something they don't have control over. The ban is 100% on ProBoards in that regard, and is who should be contacted. Where the complication lies is the fact that ProBoards isn't Cloudflare's only customer, and the 1006 page can be displayed on any website they are affiliated with. It would be difficult for them to give a custom message for individual forums we host without affecting other websites outside of ProBoards that they're affiliated with. So there's a much bigger picture behind the reason the 1006 page displays what it does currently. With the above said, I too hope that the message can be made clearer at some point in the future. But it's really not as simple as it sounds, which is the point I want to get across. Hopefully this provides a little more perspective at least
