I've been up all night trying everything I can to move this darned button and I can not get it done for the life of me! I want the Quick Reply Button to match the Reply button in the title bar... I'd like them to look the same but that's not as important as actually getting a working button into the title bar opposite the full reply button...
Can someone please help me? Thank you anyone in advance!

Hey Vickie85, To clarify, you're looking to get the "Post Quick Reply" button attached to the title bar of the Quick Reply box so it looks like the regular "Reply" button?

We'll I want it to still 'say' quick reply I mean I want the buttons themselves to look alike, but basically yeah... I'm not as worried about to looks of it right now as I am actually getting the quick reply button into the title bar on the left side... Heh I hope I'm making sense it's been a long night :/

I see what you're going for, Vickie85. Unfortunately the quick reply button is an object that doesn't allow you to use it's attributes like "href", so we have to move the button itself with JavaScript to accomplish that. Go into the Thread > Quick Reply template and replace the "Quicky" line of HTML with this instead: <span class="quick-reply-button" style="float: left"></span>
Then paste this script at the bottom of that template. <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('input[value="Post Quick Reply"]').insertBefore('.quick-reply-button'); }); </script>

Strange, Vickie85, it's showing correctly for me. Are you on a mobile device? Could you try clearing your browser cache just in case it has an old version of the page cached?

Is it possible you might have access to a computer to check and see if the experience is the same? Touchscreen devices are not technically supported for admin panel functions, so checking on a computer could help shed some light on why we're having trouble in this area.

Not at the moment no I have my daughter and my nephew both sleeping next to me.. And anyway I built most of this forum on my ipad... And like I said it isn't working on my phone either, that's 5 different browsers across 2 devices.. I don't know I probably screwed something up

I tried moving the script to the global header instead of the template, Vickie85 - did that have an effect?
