I have an "is this even possible" type question...

It's for a private board I own....it has 5 themes.   I want my members to have an   avatar different  from the one they use on the other 4 themes.

eta:  maybe they would have to have a second user name just for that theme?  Ewww..not so good. I hope there is some code that will work better than that.

The question is sort of why? Each member won't be using all 5 themes at any given time? They use one at a time, at their own choice, or whatever is default. Then as well as member a, could be using theme 1 while member b could be using 2. The system would have a hard time separating a different avatar per which theme which member is using.

I'm not 100% sure if a plugin could be made for this or not. I don't want to outright say that it isn't mainly because I've been surprised by what some plugin authors have been able to accomplish this far; so there's some hope. Re-ask in the plugin request area to see if someone can pick the idea up

Hi Ashy.  The 'special' theme is just for fun.  It's a private girls only board...invited members from my original board...just 15 of us. We talk about husbands, kids, health, in-laws, share pictures of kids, home, grand kids.   It's really a nice board and we've become very close. It's called No Boyz Allowed.  When I get it all worked out, I'll block the other themes so when they log on, everyone will be on the new one with their new avatar.  I hope they like it enough, it will be the only theme/avatars we use.  But of course, they will have choice...some like large print with a dark background, some want a light background with dark print, etc.

Here's a screen shot...




and here  are a couple of the board's 'defenders' (from the boys.)    I matched the member to the anime by hair color...that's about it for resemblance.

except for the last one.  We have a member who looks very much like that picture, pretty with black hair and big blue eyes.

This is the closest thing you can get unless you ask Todge to adapt it to your need support.proboards.com/thread/513404/post-specific-avatars

Thanks Adwoman!  Maybe Todge can alter his code  enough to allow a separate avatar per theme instead of a post.
