Forum URL: rockielynneclub.proboards98.comI looked through the frequently asked questions however did't see a complete answer to my situation. I have several members using hotmail and msn that are not receiving their activation codes even after multiple attempts. I have posted for folks to check their spam folders, try adding the proboards 'nobody' email to their address books, or using another account. Should this still not work which seems to be the case for a couple can I add them manually and bypass the entire activation code process? If not, how do I get them registered? I could create an email to use to register them but, then when they go in to put in their real email....we are right back to the activation code situation again, right? Any help would be appreciated.

No, it will not bypass the activation key. That is a security feature of ProBoards and cannot be bypassed. Sorry
Tell the people having a hard time getting their activation keys to use Yahoo, or gmail and try again

Thanks we are still having all kinds of trouble with folks on all different email accounts...even comcast! Many members are not receiving their activation codes. I've used proboards in the past a few times and never seen such a problem. Is this going to be fixed soon? What other steps can be taken to get these folks signed up so they can post. We have tried everything from allowing cookies to creating a free yahoo account and some still are not receiving their codes.

The only email we are aware of, apart from the normal AOL ones that always cause trouble, is that hotmail have blocked that servers IP. So try not to use Hotmail. We are working on a way around this.

This is happening on Comcast and MSN too....now someone that is on Comcast signed up for a free Yahoo...but she 's not received anything through the free Yahoo account either. So, if it is just this server...can you move my account to another server without any interuption on the board?
