If I want to get a domain name for my forum (I know that I will have to pay) how can I do it so that basically the domain name becomes my URL? If someone could help me out with this, and if someone could give me a place to do this that would be great. Thanks!

As this has been posted before, currently that is impossible. You may use a domain to forward to your board. There is supposedly a service coming soon to Proboards to make this possible. I hope I made sense... -Computerpros

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. So basically I can buy a domain name, and when someone clicks on it, it will lead to my forum, but the URL will still be the one it is now?

You can buy a domain and in your domain control panel you could set it to forward to your board but once they get to your board they would see your original url. -Computerpros

I see. I have also heard about a domain transfer? What is that exactly?
