help create custom made character buttons on the reply/edit

I need help to create custom made character buttons on the reply/edit window
to be able to type custom characters, by clicking on the button


I see there is the Bold, Italics, Underline, Strikethrough buttons
and other buttons in the edit/reply window,
but I want to have custom made character buttons

Hi

Anything that adds to the reply window would need to be done via a plugin so you would need to make a request in the plugin requests board. You may need to elaborate on what you mean by custom characters.

This plugin does allow you to add additional buttons to the BBCode lineup on the posting page, so check that out and let us know if it helps you accomplish what you need.
