Forum URL: hon.boards.net/Alright, so I'm trying to code my own side bar, and I'm successful, sort of. LOL I'm trying to get it to where the title bars from the forum part of the site do not run across into the sidebar like it is currently. How do I fix this?

I'd use a table instead of a float... like so:
<table width="100%"> <tr> <td vAlign="top" width="20%">side bar</td> <td width="10px"></td> <td vAlign="top">forum content</td> </tr> </table>

And use that for the sidebar only? I'm a little confused on that. It's been SO long since I've used tables lol

Yes instead of the div. The table, shown above, would be within your forum wrapper div's and would separate the side bar from the forum content.

I'll just make this easier and post exactly what you want in your entire forum wrapper: <!DOCTYPE HTML> $[tag.html.open] <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>$[title] | $[forum.name]</title> $[head] </head> <body> {if $[maintenance_mode]} <div class="maintenance-header"> {if $[can.disable_maintenance]}<p>Finished with maintenance? $[disable_maintenance_link].</p>{/if} </div> {/if} <div id="wrapper"> <header> <div id="banner-container" role="banner"> <h2 id="banner"> $[forum.title] </h2> </div> <a id="navigation-skip" href="#content" accesskey="s" class="aria-hidden" title="Skip Navigation">Skip Navigation</a> <a href="#" accesskey="d" title="Open Menu" onclick="proboards.hotkeys.activate(Keys.d); return false;"></a> <div id="navigation-menu" class="ui-helper-clearfix"> <ul role="navigation"> {foreach $[navigation.menu]} <li> <a{if $[navigation.menu.active]} class="state-active"{/if} href="$[navigation.menu.href]"{if $[navigation.menu.accesskey]} accesskey="$[navigation.menu.accesskey]"{/if}> $[navigation.menu.name] {if $[navigation.menu.notification.total]} <div class="tip-holder" onclick="window.location='$[navigation.menu.notification.href]'; return false;"> <div class="tip-number">$[navigation.menu.notification.total]</div> <span class="tip"></span> </div> {/if} </a> </li> {/foreach} </ul> <p id="welcome"> {if !$[current_user.is_member]} Welcome Guest. {if $[login_link] || $[register_link]} Please $[login_link]{if $[login_link] && $[register_link]} or {/if}$[register_link]. {/if} {else} <span>Welcome $[current_user.name].</span> $[logout_link] {/if} </p> </div> </header> <table width="100%"> <tr> <td width="20%" vAlign="top"> sidetables </td> <td width="10px"></td> <td vAlign="top"> $[participated_threads_link] {if $[navigation.tree]} <div id="navigation-tree"> $[navigation.tree] </div> {/if} $[header] <div id="content" role="main"> {if $[notice]} <div class="container"> <div class="title-bar"><h2>$[notice.title]</h2></div> <div class="content pad-all cap-bottom"> $[notice.message] </div> </div> {/if} $[content] $[shoutbox] </div> $[footer] </td> </tr> </table> </div> {if $[is_mobile_browser]} <br /><p class="center">Switch to the $[mobile_switch_link].</p> {/if} </body> </html>

I will use that If need be, but does the way I have it now not look right somewhere?

It doesn't look right everywhere which is why I suggested the above.

Alright, I fixed it using your code, but moving a few things does that look better?

The contents of your sidebar would be contained within this line: You'd need to manually add your preferred HTML to the section in green to produce your own containers. Alternatively, this plugin does all of this for you without the need for a template modification: www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/2
