Hi Is that the exact error message, or is there any more information? It is not an error message i am familiar with people getting from proboards, so it may be a browser error message? Does the look of the page indicate what the source of the message is? You could try, if you haven't already, clearing the cache and cookies in your browser.

Hi, I'm getting the same error (also on ipad). It happens when I click the "new" button for a thread. The page takes longer to load, then the message "A problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded" appears at the top of the page, and it kicks me out of being logged in. I have tried clearing the browser history and website data and I'm still getting the error...

Are you also using an iPad? Also, in case it helps track down the problem, are you connected to data or wifi?

"A problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded" This is the message I was getting, sorry I misquoted it, couldn't remember it exactly, it seems to occur if the page is slow to load. I'm using an iPad with wifi.

I'm using an iPad with wifi. No worries, and thanks for posting back. This sounds like something ipad does, perhaps with pages which are slow loading, like you say, or it could be something else causing it. Unfortunately, i do not have an iPad to test this myself, so can't really add any further comments. However, the ProBoard staff will be online shortly, and will be able to investigate this further. Please check back in around half an hour - hour for a reply

Thanks for checking back on it, Momin2013.
I'm assuming that when you're browsing with the iPad you're using the desktop view, correct? If so, can you scroll down to the very bottom of the forum and look for the text that says "Switch to the Mobile Version" -- if you click on the "Mobile Version" link in this text and browse with the mobile view, do you experience the same issue? Or does it work fine with that mode?

No, it doesn't happen in the mobile version. I like the desktop view better so that's what I've always used, but I guess I can switch to mobile if I need to in order to avoid this error. It's just strange because this has never happened before...

I've been doing some searching, and it seems that this is actually a common issue with Safari after one of the latest iOS updates. If you search Google for the error message, you'll see quite a bit of complaints on it on Apple's support forum. One of the solutions that I have seen some say that work is to clear the temporary internet files in Safari on the iPad, so that may be something worth giving a shot. You can do this by loading the main Settings app on your iPad, then in the left side-bar press on "Safari", then press on the "Clear History and Website Data" button. Clear that and see if that helps when browsing in the desktop view

"Admin, sewing shortcuts forum" - can you let me know if clearing the temporary internet files helps for you at all?
