Found a way to connect your forum to twitter/fb

I saw a few threads on here and various other forums asking how to connect your Proboards forum to a Twitter/Facebook so your recent threads have their own feed and are automatically sent out to your website's social network account. This would essentially help bring in visitors and possibly help with ranking on search engines (could be wrong about the latter).

I signed up to twitterfeed.com and connected my account(s). TwitterFeed allows a few other social network accounts (such as LinkedIn) to be connected as well. Hope this helps!

How To Set Up TwitterFeed with Proboards

After signing up and confirming your email address, TwitterFeed should take you automatically to Step 1 of the setup process. On the Step 1 page/tab, there should be a field that says "Blog URL or RSS Feed URL". This is what will send all your new forum threads links to your social media accounts.

Go to your forum and under your forum's information (statistics, last thread made, etc.)
1) Find the line that says "Recent Threads - Recent Posts - RSS Feed - Mark All Boards Read"
2) Click on the RSS Feed. It should take you to a page full of gibberish (HTML/XML; if it's not gibberish, it should still be okay)
3) Copy the page link and paste it into the TwitterFeed "Blog URL or RSS Feed URL" box

(Recommended) Click on "Advanced Settings" and play around with the options.
