Forum URL: bigballofyarn.proboards.comThis may be difficult to explain and difficult to understand. The last forum modification that was made was placing last poster avatars on the homepage. I don't know whether or not that is relevant. This is the member in question: bigballofyarn.proboards.com/user/206Note that his profile only has the options: Follow / Edit Profile / Send Message Every other profile has the gear drop-down with all the administrator options after the "send message" button. A normal thread will have the options: Quote / Edit / Like / And then the gear option for multi-quotes etc. When he posts in a thread, that gear option disappears. When he is linked in a post, that gear option disappears in the entire thread. Example: bigballofyarn.proboards.com/thread/39012/potential-bugHim posting or being linked also makes all the format editing options disappear from the quick reply. It also makes people unable to edit their posts. It makes people unable to click the like button throughout the thread. Someone suggested that it may be his signature. I attempted to edit/remove his signature, but that didn't affect anything. This is a quote from one of my members: Regarding that, I cannot access the awards tab on just this one member's profile.

Something is hiding it. As in it is being generated, but then being hidden by something. I can't see a plugin which obviously affects it, but try disabling them all, and see if it makes a difference.
Also, you have this in either your header, or your template:
<center><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <meta name="Content-Script-Type" content="text/javascript"> <meta name="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css"> <title>Example</title> </head>
</html> </center>
That needs to be removed.
If the cog still doesn't show, could you try a different template, the less edited the better. You may need to create a new default style template to check.

Is there a reason it's only happening as a result of that one poster and not in threads where he doesn't post and isn't tagged?

Hi bigballofyarn, I had a look and it appears to be something with the monetary plugin that's causing the issue. If you temporarily disable that plugin, you should see the elements return in the topics the member has posted in. I'm not exactly sure of the cause, however. But you may want to post about it in the support topic for that plugin so that it could be looked into further from the plugin author
