Profile Drop Down Nav (Resolved!)

I am attempting to create a drop down button for my Profile  button. I only want Summary and Notifications. The Profile button does have two drop downs, but when I click on them, my account is not found. Pressing the Profile button alone still works, though. This is what I have tried:

Well, for notifications your link should be "/user/$[current_user.id]/notifications"
for profile summary tab to be active, or how you would normally see the summary when you go to a user's profile you would use "$[current_user.href]"

So, try this:

Summary|/$[current_user.href]
Notifications|/user/$[current_user_id]/notifications

I copied and pasted:

Summary|/$[current_user.href]
Notifications|/user/$[current_user_id]/notifications

There are still drop downs, but they aren't clickable.

That is better than being told that I don't exist, but still...

Have you considered just placing settings in the Drop Down?

Both of those tabs are on the same page and only a click away

Not sure how that plugin works, as i coded the drop downs on my menu with jQuery.

I don't see Summary and Notifications on the settings page.

I feel like a genius about now, i have the page name of settings in the drop down and it just leads to the profile page

The profile page is the only page I have managed to get to work.

Same here, i don't use the plugin any longer, i use a j Query drop-down menu

Really, I just need Notifications to drop down. To make it easier and more efficient to see who has quoted you.

Of course, the summary is the only one that works.

Off to make another cup of coffee....

Thanks! That is a cool site. I have familiarized myself with jQuery, but it will be a long, long time before I could write it myself.

YAY! I did it! After reading the entire support thread for this plugin and ending up entirely confused, I decided to ignore every thing and start from scratch myself using the instructions on the plugin itself. DUH. Right at the top of the settings page it says this,"You can add a person's user id to the URL(good for profile stuff) with $[user.id]." Now "name|url|target" makes perfect sense. I don't know if it will work for my members, yet. But, I am pretty sure that it will.

Notifications|weightlosssurgery.proboards.com/user/1/notifications/$[user.id]|_self

This is the actual link to the opened notifications tab under Profile.
