Hello. I see a couple of other topics here that may be having a similar issue as the one I am experiencing. I noticed that none of them mentioned many specific details though, so I decided to make my own post. I have made one post about this already, but unfortunately in the wrong section. I was told to post it here instead. My original post.
When attempting to upload an image to my forum, I experience an error. I have hit the same error when attempting to upload a forum logo and an avatar image. Interestingly, I do not have the error when using the "add attachment" button to include an image in a post.
When attempting to upload a forum logo I get the following after tapping "Upload", "Choose existing", then selecting a photo.
When attempting to upload a new avatar image it looks like this.
I am using Chrome version 42.0.2311.47 on an iPad 4th generation with iOS 8.3.
I have tried; a different device (iPhone 5s/iOS 8.3 and iPhone 4/iOS 7.1.2 both running Chrome), using Safari, refreshing the page, Clearing my browsers cache, restarting the browser, restarting the device, trying a different image, resetting the banner to the default setting, trying a different image file type all to no avail.
I did find a way to circumvent the issue that the others having this issue may find helpful. I made a post on my forum with the image I was trying to upload unsuccessfully, then instead of uploading in the admin section, I simply linked to the image that I had posted. That worked for the forum logo, however when I tried to link an image for my avatar it simply did nothing upon tapping the link image button. With the image url in the blank and the button clicked I would expect it to work or give me an error message, but it did nothing, just sat there. Odd.
Interesting side note, I just changed my avatar here. Of course with the exception of site colors, it looks exactly like the edit avatar page on my forum, except that it works here. Lol. Is it strange that my device and browser having the issue with uploading an avatar image on my forum can accomplish it just fine here?
If if anyone has advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated. I hope that something I posted during my ramblings will help tech support resolve the issue for myself and the others. Thank you in advance for your time.
