It could therefore be something already there. If you, say, make a copy of the template, and then set to default, can you then save it without any problems?

Setting it to default did the trick. No idea where in the template the problem could be though. Also it wasn't doing it yesterday. It won't let me upload this as an attachment.

A condition or variable may have changed. Not in the template, but the checking. One of the reds will check the code you posted above when they get online, and hopefully identify the issue.

Ok. Just to check, do you get the same problem in an alternate browser, and if you disconnected and reconnected to the internet, does the problem persist? Checked this morning with version, (39.0.2171.99 dev-m) of Chrome and had the same thing happen. I was using Firefox 28.0 yesterday. Also I shut down the pc overnight and I rebooted our adsl modem yesterday. |

Unfortunately I haven't heard anything back on this yet, but I'll see if I can get a status for you Edit: I spoke with them and they had a look at the logs for the forum. It seems that your forum is generating a ton of coding errors, which isn't helping and is partly why you're getting the captcha. For example, the "Quick Reply BBCode Buttons" plugin that the forum is using is pointing to the wrong server to pull the smiley images from (ie. for the image, it's pulling from railvillage.proboards.com/images/smiley/smiley.png -- when it should instead be pulling from the image server: images.proboards.com/v5/smiley/smiley.png. This was just one example that was causing a lot of errors on your forum to the server; you can try disabling that plugin and see if maybe that will help (and perhaps bring this to the attention of the plugin author so they can update the plugin to point to the correct images). |

The problem with the home template I have managed to solve by removing the bit of JS I had that was the Google seasrch of the forum. Time to see if there is an updated bit of code that dosen't have the error.
Btw disabling that plugin had no effect, but I will inform the author of it's error.

Still stuck on the wrapper template error though. If I reset the template to default the error vanishes and I am stuffed if I can see where the problem is! Btw removing the sections of code I have personally added makes no difference.

I have narrowed down the problem in the wrapper template to these two sections of code, but I still can't see where the problem is, anyone else able to see it?? If I remove both of them the problem vanishes, if I put just one of them back, (dosen't matter which one) the error comes back.
