In the image I posted above it has "Normal 400" next to it, but I don't know where else to look. Would the weight remove flourishes? Because it really looks like a completely different font. This is what it looks like now: And this is how it should look:

No, it shouldn't do that.
Let me check out the Google Font you chose and I'll try it on a theme of mine that no one is currently using to see what I can see.

Good.
So which are you using? Josefin Slab or Cinzel Decorative?
Edit: Post responded to was deleted.

Cinzel Decorative is what I thought I downloaded. It was the only font I had chosen.

You need not download the font. You want everyone to view it and the instructions given are for that purpose. When you embed the link in your Forum Wrapper, all will see that typestyle.
If that's what you wanted, why did you embed Josefin Slab in your Forum Wrapper?
That won't work. You need to embed the style you want to use.

Edit: Post responded to was deleted. I thought that I was using the Cinzel and it just didn't look as good in action as it did on the sample. I deleted that post because if I can get the correct font, I would prefer that.

Then you need to remove Josefin Slab from the forum wrapper and in the Title Bar text area in the Visual Tab and put in the one you want.

That won't work. You need to embed the style you want to use. I thought I had to download the font to use it. I posted the codes it gave me earlier in this thread and was given a different code to use. The one I was given in this thread is what has been used on the board. "Google fonts gave me these, no links: *<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cinzel+Decorative' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>* *font-family: 'Cinzel Decorative', cursive;*" Then Brian posted this: Font Family is where you'll want to type your font's name. Your Google font code would go in Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper before the closing </head> tag. You'll only need this part of the code you posted: <link href="http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cinzel+Decorative" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> I only copy and paste. I have no idea how "Josepina" came to be.

Did I mess something up putting it in the forum wrapper?
edit to add: I typed Cinzel in the Font Family to see what would happen and it didn't work.

Lol ~ we need a drink!
First, you do not need to download it because you want everyone to see it and if it's only on your computer only you would see it!
Now, if you have put this Google link in your forum wrapper where Brian and I instructed ~
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cinzel+Decorative' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
And then in the Title Bar area typed in Cinzel Decorative, it should work.
Is that what you've done?
I've just changed my default theme so you can see a Google Font in the Title Bar area. I'm using Tangerine.

I did mess up the forum wrapper.
On page 2 of this thread, Brian wrote:
Your font tag is malformed in your page head. In Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper change line 4 to this: <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Josefin+Slab:600' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
and I paid no attention to font he used.
I'm off to try to fix it now.

I replaced line 4. But it is the reference to Josefin under it that I don't know whether or not to fix since that area was never a part of the original instructions I was given.
<!DOCTYPE HTML> $[tag.html.open] <head> <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cinzel+Decorative' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> <style> body { font-family: font-family: 'Josefin Slab', serif; } </style>

Change font family to
font-family: 'Cinzel+Decorative';
and you should be good to go, as long as you also have that in the Visual Tab Title Bar text area, too.

Then Brian posted this: Font Family is where you'll want to type your font's name.
I believe Brian was referring to what I referred to in my post right after his.
You type that in the "Font Family" box in the text section of the Visual Tab Title Bar area.
