I'm not quite sure what you're asking. You can make a thread "sticky", which will keep that thread at the top of a board listing but you cannot "sticky" individual posts within a thread.

It's not a sticky. Say you have 5 pages of replies to a topic, and you want to know what the first topic post was, you don't have to scroll all the way back to the first page. The topic that was started on the first page is at the top of each new page.

tomThere is no way currently to do this as posts must follow chronological order. However, Brian is our plugin guru and could possibly be familiar with a plugin or coding that might offer a similar means to achieve your goal.

This is possible by modifying your forum's HTML layout templates, tom. I worked with another admin at one point in the past to make a template modification that made it so whenever they edit the first post of a thread and type "sticky" for the edit reason, that post will show at the top of every single page of that thread. Here's the thread that outlines the process.
