It's officially fall, yet it's still in the 70's, 80's and even 90's sometimes where I live. I can't wait until it really cools off, the leaves start to change colors, and I'm even looking forward to Halloween. What are your favorite things about fall?

The gathering darkness. Also, the cool weather is a welcome change from the non-cool weather. It comes with less sunlight, less bug presence, less noise, and less people, all vast improvements over the summer months.

I love fall weather, although still being in school, it gives me a sense of foreboding that doesn't go away until the dead of winter or mid-summer I'm much happier with long-sleeved shirts/layered clothing, too -- I even justifiably wore a mid-weight wool coat today. Also, at a certain point, everything becomes apple-flavored (I don't know why anyone cares about pumpkin spice when apple exists). Hopefully the cold weather will encourage the annoying people who yell outside my building a lot to quiet down, but in the past, even blizzards didn't stop them

I'm alright with some of them, but the little bastards that will sting you I could totally do with out. It still feels like Houston to me. 70-80s. And I'm not in Houston I get that 100%. I live in Georgia and it feels like I'm in Florida. I'm the same way. We don't usually get much snow here in the winter, but I am hoping for some this year so my daughter can experience her first snow.

I'm not a huge fan of the cold but it gives be an excuse to drink hot chocolate(one of my favorite drinks) so I take it. If i'm not working I'm so going out for Halloween (advantage of being short ) because free candy is awesome.

I love autumn, its just the colours and fact you still get warm days without burning heat of summer. Really nice riding through woods this time of year, less bugs around to.

Hate Fall. Trees drop their leaves making a mess. The Oaks drop their Acorns making a mess. It starts getting dark to early. I don't like wearing jackets. It's expensive to heat my house. It leads right into Winter. Just because we really need rain doesn't mean I have to like it either

Can I have summer back?
One of my friends messaged me earlier complaining about having to eat lunch in almost-100 degree weather outside. Meanwhile, I'm stuck wearing a jacket every time I go outside now. I asked him to trade places with me.
I have a love/hate relationship with fall. Sometimes I like the chilly air, but most of the time I miss the hot weather. The colors are pretty, but green is my favorite so I'm sad to see all of the vivid green leaves drop to the ground.

I do love fall. It's my summer. It's when I'll finally go hiking in the mountains and chilling at the beach. Go out and walk around town, take some drives, etc. I can't stand summer like at all. It's the worst season by far.
So the weather, of course the fall leaves and misty mountains, excuse to cook stews and soups, drink more coffee and beer mmmmmmm
We've got a high of 55*F coming up this Friday (North Carolina), can't wait .

We don't decide when seasons start. Nature does. The 21 st of March, June, September, and December is just a rough idea when a season should start.

I love the cold and the dark nights and dark in the mornings. I just cannot sleep properly when it's still light around 9-10pm then light around 3 am. But the weather has been fine and sunny at the moment, a bit nippy in the morning but nice after 8 am.
