Forum URL: 595601175.proboards70.comHi, I am fairly new to Pro Boards so please try to bare with me. The members of my forum are experiencing a "Too Many Connections Error" and I came to the support board for help. Unfortunately when I looked for the information I saw the following message: Do not create threads on the following: # "Too Many Connections" Errors (See Here) The only problem is that the "See Here" Link doesn't work so I can't get the information I need to pacify my members complaints. Please do not bop me on the head for posting I assure you I can read I just don't know how to get the information if the link will not work. Thank You For Your Time & Patience.

Hi, That's no problem. I've got to get round to fixing that link. How bad are you getting that error message?

I just started getting complaints about the problem today starting at roughly 5:30 Pm EST. The 5 of the moderators have posted about it since that time in the (hidden) management section. They have received PMs from members also having the issue and on top of that they have started a thread in the forum support section so I would venture a guess at maybe 25 - 35 times since 5:30 PM. I have not experienced it myself, at least not yet. is there anything I can do? I dont know if the information helps but my forum has had 242 users online in the last 24 hours and I have 605 registered members.

I get that a lot using Firefox. I then switch to Internet Explorer for a while. It seems to just effect me using FF, weird.

The error messages and generated server-side, so it really shouldn't matter what browser you use. Craig will probably look into this and if it's a major problem, then he'll go through the appropriate procedure to reduce stress on the server.

Hi,
Could you let me know if this continues tomorrow. There is no reason that it should be giving the TMC, so it was most likely a few people were running big searches at the same time.

I posted about the issue on my board yesterday morning and throughout the day only got about 6 reports about this issue. I appreciate your assisitance very much. Our peek usage is usually Saturday and Sunday I'll keep you updated.

But, if you are getting it constantly, then there is a problem... but nothing has changed on the server to have an increase in traffic, and thus show the TMC message. I would point to a few big searches going on on the server at the time.
