I understand the soundcloud plugin causes this, so im just wondering if there's a way i can get rid of the text completely and just leave the 'AntiH8 Music page #1 | Goldenbeatz' text there for all my posts pls. It just looks a little better thats all.

If you know the plugin is causing this, this post would have made more sense if posted in the plugin author's support thread rather than here.

No because it cant be fixed by them, its something to do with social posting i think on proboards side. im not to sure though so i'll wait to see what the reds say after turkey belly swells down

You can edit link descriptions on Facebook if you click on them.
However, they're always going to pick up the text that's inside the post in the page's source. The plugin needs that text to function and removing it with Javascript is not going to remove it from the page's source.

Could we change the post temples thingy so there's a load of spaces before the first text which is kind of invisible so thats what it shows in the fb posts ? am i way off idk

There's already spaces before the content. Facebook is omitting them.
I don't believe there is a way to remove it automatically without explicitly removing it from your actual post.

If it is it is, so it doesn't matter. and could the spaces allready there be just full stops like this ........... rather than code stuff ?

It's impossible to remove the text itself.
Anything you add to the post template that's not a space or a tab is going to show in the actual post.

Facebook gets its cue from the open graph tag added to the page by Proboards <meta property="og:description" content="www.soundcloud.com/antih8 [HASH]newartists https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F230933782 https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F230281935 https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud"> [font face="soundcloud"]https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F230933782[/font] There is no way for Proboards to distinguish between plugin-supplied custom bbcode and actual user-supplied content. The soundcloud plugin uses a font tag but with the face attribute set to "soundcloud" and the content set to the url so it can have an easily recognized signature when looking for for tags to convert into players. Proboards would have to specifically code in support for that particular tag signature and ignore it prior to generating the content for the og:description meta tag which is a big ask. I would think it is up to the individual plugins to handle such situations though, the soundcloud plugin could probably provide an option to add the url as a title attribute on the font tag instead of as content within the tag which would then allow Proboards to see it as an empty tag and ignore it when generating the description meta. It could be empty or whitespace-only tags are automatically culled since I know at one point this was done for empty div, li, p, etc. tags but a quick test with switching between bbcode and preview panel shows that this empty tag is preserved. I'm sure Virgil Sovereign has considered this and perhaps found some problems with the approach but he would be the best one to ask here so posting in the support thread for the plugin would be the best move. Edit: I just tried censored words to wrap any font tags with the soundcloud signature into a div tag set to 1x1 px and overflow to hidden and it works to hide the font tag. The problem of course is it appears the og:description is generated prior to censored words being applied which could arguably be called a bug since one might not want posted profanity showing up in their family friendly facebook circles in the first place which is what censored words are supposed to prevent.

@joecool111: It's a simple matter for me to convert the tags so that the text doesn't appear. I can update the plugin this coming Sunday.
