Say I wanted to include in a custom template, the option to bookmark a thread with a button next to the reply button. Is this possible. What would I have to do to accomplish this?

Hi, Teg. The Bookmark option is contained solely within the Actions menu, so the only way to duplicate its functionality would be to create a button using Javascript that's a clone of that button. I know the Post Options Dropout plugin does the above to the Post Options dropdown, but I'm not aware of a plugin that does this for the Actions dropdown.

So using a simple script to call the action on a button like that would work? Also, curious, if I wanted to add a form to a page that would essentially allow a user to submit a thread to a board from a page, would that be possible?

I'm not sure if it's as straightforward as that, but if you can do it with the Post Options you can certainly do it with the Actions dropdown.
Threads can only be submitted from the posting page.

Alright thanks... In regards to the "posting page" would we be able to change that template on a per/board status by pulling an if statement for a specific board I'd?

Yes, if you compare it to the ID produced by the $[route.params.board_id] variable.
