Forum URL: vemori.boards.netHello! I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm hoping to set up my forum. I found the lovely Custom Profile Fields options and after setting up a Drop-Down option, I was troubled to find that while I saw the option when editing my profile, it does not show up elsewhere. I edited the custom field to be visible in both the mini-profile and member profile, but I cannot see it anywhere. Maybe I just don't know where to look, but I'd sincerely appreciate a guiding hand in the matter. c: Added the option: Edited on my profile: Not finding it? I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing or if it is just something that's not meant to be seen publicly?

Hi, etkri. If I am understanding you correctly, you're asking how to access the custom profile field to put it onto your profile and mini-profile, right? To do that, you'd go to Profile > Edit Profile > Personal. Once on the Personal tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you should see your custom profile fields there. I hope this helps. If you have any trouble, please don't hesitate to post back!

Hello Alan Vende I was able to figure that much out, thank you so much for the quick reply! c: I guess my question was whether once I choose, for example, my Deity Affiliation, is it supposed to show up anywhere on my profile for others to see? Or is it just supposed to be for fun for myself?

I misunderstood you, iI think. My apologies! What is your Deity Affiliation exactly? Is it an option in the custom field?

Alan VendeNo need to apologize, I was pretty wordy in my question, heh. Yes, the deities are options in the custom field. Right now I have Al'Esteri selected for my account - I took a screenshot that's in the first post. So it's all set as far as editing my personal profile information is concerned, I'm just not sure if there's something else I need to do in order for it to be visible somewhere on my public profile. Or maybe I just misunderstood the purpose of this option all-together.

etkri , [/code][/ul] EDIT: If you are using a Pre-Made Skin you may want to ask the skin creator if it is ok if you change around the coding a bit.

etkri , our Custom Fields show up without any additional code being added.
But as Star's Legacy posted, since your theme is pre-made and has modifications, that may be the reason why additional coding may be necessary from the theme's creator.

Hi, etkri. It looks like the necessary code already exists in your layout templates. It's just been commented out. Go to Themes > Layout Templates > User Profile > Summary in your admin area. Remove the <!-- from line 86, then remove the --> from line 95. Any custom fields that you've set to show in user profiles should start showing after that.
