Hello! Recently Imgur (an online image host) made some changes to their Terms of Service. From Imgur's TOS: As a byproduct it appears that some popular forum hosts have been blocked by Imgur, effectively breaking forums due to the missing images. While ProBoards has not yet been affected we want to make sure that this never happens to our customers. If you currently use Imgur to host any images for your themes, plugins, or anything related to your forum we urge you to update those links and rehost those images elsewhere. Images can be uploaded to your theme extremely easily by going to Admin>Themes and then selecting the "Images" option on the theme you would like to upload an image to. From that page you can upload custom images for your theme. If you are looking for another online image host for not theme related hosting check out this list of popular image hosts: postimage.org/minus.com/imgup.net/s5.photobucket.com/imageshack.us/We do not endorse these sites, they are simply a selection of the top results from Google when searching "image hosting". Thank you for reading and don't hesitate to ask if you have questions!

Just to throw out there, we have had issues with tinypic in the past recycling URLs, replacing cute puppies with phallic images.

If any of your forum's images, or a member's images, are hosted with a link to Imgur, then yes, it does, @joecool111. Otherwise, no.
Our site has used Photobucket for seven years. There's been a few hiccups, but nothing major in all of that time. They've never lost data. Our site is dependent upon them for hundreds, possibly thousands of images, when we take into account our members.
And for all of the hundreds of images I host with them for our forum, I still use a free account ~ despite the bandwidth we use.

You only need to worry about the images that make up the look of your forum.
If you haven't used a link from Imgur to create the look of your board, then you're fine.
As admin, you should know where your images are hosted.

I don't believe that imageshack offers free image hosting any more. And they had that huge issue not that long ago that resulting in permanent loss of images in some cases.

For those who want an altenrative who are hosting images for proboards themes you can use the proboards theme manager image section to host images for that (and it comes with a plus - its quicker!)

Hi @joecool111 No, as one no one else would be able to see the images and 2 your forum won't know about the images or how to get them from your pc to the forum.
You still have Postimage, (no login required to post) or Photobucket, (login required to post).

Hello! Recently Imgur (an online image host) made some changes to their Terms of Service. From Imgur's TOS: If you currently use Imgur to host any images for your themes, plugins, or anything related to your forum ... I know this is Proboards and not Imgur - but if I could ask you if you could please clarify something for us?
You only need to worry about the images that make up the look of your forum.
Sorry but I am not 100% clear on what Imgur is not allowing. I understand that they are not allowing Imgur to host images for themes, etc. but what about photo-sharing? We are a fan forum & we often post our original artwork, and sometimes post photos of the actor who is the subject of our forum. It is the bolded text above which made me think we could no longer use Imgur, but Luv's post led me to believe the ban is only for theme (etc.) hosting. Are we no longer allowed to use Imgur to post pictures and artwork (NOT-theme related) on our forum? Thank you in advance. squid

Thanks - I'm still curious because it states " However, if you share an image with Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, etc., then it may end up in the gallery."
People are allowed to share photos from Imgur on FB, Twitter, etc. but not on Proboards? Is that correct? (I'm asking sincerely). I want to get all of my ducks in a row before I post information for our members. Thank you again.
