Hi, @ritab. Did you include a description of why you were reporting the ads alongside your screenshot? If it's not immediately evident from your screenshot that the ad is problematic the report will likely be discarded if there's no description as to why the ad is problematic. Bummer no! Where does it say I needed to do that?

Where does it say I needed to do that? Right at the beginning of the report area. "Why are you reporting this ad?"

@ritab When you invoke the report ad function, all the ads on the page will change to what Brian posted in the shape of the ad. Make sure you are reporting the correct ad.

These ads are doing my head in! If advertisers aren't supposed to have ads like this on ProBoards when are they here?
I've reported 3 recently.

These ads are doing my head in! If advertisers aren't supposed to have ads like this on ProBoards when are they here? I've reported 3 recently. Our ad provider is generally in control of ensuring the ads in rotation abide by our ad policies, though I'm not personally knowledgeable in whether or not advertisers can modify their ads following their approval. Regardless, as long as there's a proper ad report done we can remove an advertiser from the rotation.

How long after reporting should these annoying ads stop?

Assuming you've reported the ad correctly and the ad was actually in violation of our ad policies I would assume within 1 or 2 days. However this would be for the particular ads you reported, not every ad matching that type.
