I am trying to do it I want to add pics my sponsors and some links but am stuck I just can not figure it out??

Are you referring to a custom page on your forum, or an accompanying website? What have you done so far?

Please then can anyone direct me to where it tells me how to add images etc to do a home page? I would appreciate it I dont know where to go I am ner here for like  guide maybe I can learn it if nobody can help me?? Or is there some way I can get a hold of a support tech please let me know? And how do I make links activfe on the home page I went to the help guide but it doesnt say please someone direct me to tech support?

Hi again

It is still unclear what you are attempting to do, other than create a homepage. I think the best thing i can do to help is link you to a starters guide to html and an html cheatsheet as that is what you will need to show images and create links.

You have an HTML guide and an HTML reference sheet on there.

Other than that, your question is very broad, and the way it is answered varies, so you will need to be more specific on exactly what you are doing, and what you have done so far [ what i previously asked ].

Our support forum and support board focuses on the functionality of the ProBoards forum software. The 'home' page you've created is a custom page is an optional feature (non-required) for the function of the forum. Custom pages use HTML, CSS as a basis for building a page, but can also get more 'fancy' with JavaScript.

We happily help members sort out issues they have with code they use on their forum, but we are not set up for teaching how to code.

I highly recommend you start with Craig's advice (the previous post here). To jump start you, the following two links show how to format code for adding pictures and hyperlinks:

You may also wish to review our BBCode reference article. BBCode is used for stylized posting on the forum, and the syntax is virtually the same as HTML with the exception of the brackets. BBCode use [ ] to surround the statements and HTML uses < >.

Thank you I will check that out I am not tech savey I was hoping someone here might be interested next month to do it that i can pay I lost my web developer to a new job he got.

I will try with the links you gave me what I want to do is add images and add links will you give me a link to how to add images so I can add my sponsors? I will read the link article or page you sent me if anyone you know can assist me please ler me know I have tried with different sites with no success on my own?

I apologize may I ask you the codes on the images on the page you linked me to the ones I am suppose to use to add my images? And if so where do I add them the home page html has a widget choice and html I dont understand what the zone means? Thank you have a good day

I figured out the code found it thank you a lot for spacing and paragraphs but I do not understand why my links are all going to the first one I did? Jan4Jam You forgot the closing ">" in the first a href (the part in red):

<a href="http://www.healthcentral.com"></a>

And in between those two  tags (><) would go text to say the sites name, or your preferred text, like so: 

<a href="http://www.healthcentral.com">Health Central</a>

Wow thank you so much I am doing it you don't know what that means to me I am not again I will say tech savey but may you tell me how to add images I have a few sponsor  logos but the thing is I only know how to upload do i have to have the url?

Substitute the text in red with the link to the image file. The final link should look something like this:

Jan4Jam, we generally recommend using an image hosting site. Your forum does have storage limits. Check this out: External Resources
