forum offline w/o reason. Need backup. Section 25(a) TOS

Hello,

I'ld like to obtain a backup for this forum that has been taken offline w/o a reason: militia.freeforums.net/

so I can move it on another forum provider.

Also I'ld like to appeal to put it back since there's no possible official and legitimate reason to take if offline, as none was stated as proof: "In accordance with Section 25(a) of the ProBoards Terms of Service, this forum has been taken offline." - A.K.A. "PROBOARDS' SOLE DISCRETION ... DENY USE OF THE WEBSITE ... FOR NO REASON AT ALL"

Where do I send a request to obtain a backup of the forum and appeal for forum to be put back online?

You would need to email the abuse team as they are the only ones that can resolve these issues. [e-mail]

You will not be able to get a backup however. That's not possible in ordinary circumstances even.

Thanks. Found that email in another post and sent in the meantime. Maybe ProBoards should take down the false advertising that its making backups then, if it's not making them

Never said they didn't make them. They do. But they aren't provided to us. They will use them to restore in case an outage on the PB side causes a loss of data.

ProBoards makes backups on a continuous basis. As moonbeam said, however, they are not available for download as they are inhouse backups in case of any problems that may occur. In cases where a forum has been removed for violating the terms of service, they would be unable to provide any data, regardless.

So why aren't they giving / selling backups of people's data? It's just exporting an txt file with an sql script in it that contains the forum data from the database, very easy for a database administrator

They are not, or would not be, able to provide data from forums that were deleted for terms of service violations.

That sounds uncapitalistic to me They aren't commies are they?

Also, I don't see the violation in Section 25 a). To be a violation, I would have to break a rule, and forums deleted (?) for no reason isn't because I broke a rule, it's just... "b/c reasons"
