iframe elements appearing in reply text

See the URL above for an example. We're having an issue with iframe elements appearing in posts, and looking for any input/suggestions on what's going on, as well as how to fix/stop it.

Based on the BBCode, there seems to be reduplicated iframe elements, almost as if it's setting up a table? Not exactly sure how to debug. Has been happening to a few users. So far all users have been on desktop PCs using Chrome.

I have been to a physical with a PCP where we just sit and go through a checklist and I don't even get undressed. And that's all that was covered by my insurance.

Scott No, but in every case it has occurred when quoting/replying to other posts.

I've tried to duplicate this in every browser that we support but haven't had the issue myself quoting any of the same posts. Can you ask the affected users the following questions?

- What web browser do you use?
- Do you have any add-ons or extensions are installed in that browser?
- If you do have add-ons/extensions, which ones are they?


Usually an iframe or any other element being inserted into some users' posts but not others indicates an extension that is attempting to modify the page and wrongly targets our post editor due to the fact that it uses an iframe.

Brian , well, unfortunately, it seems to run the gamut, at least with respect to extensions. Here's what I've compiled from 6 users:

1 - Desktop, Chrome, with Ebates and GoogleDocs extensions.
1 - Desktop, Chrome, with GoogleDocs extension.
1 - Desktop, Chrome in incognito mode with no extensions enabled.
1 - Desktop, Chrome, with Swagbucks, Nielsen rewards, Google Docs, and an Adobe extension.
2 - Mobile, iPhone, Safari.

I realize that not being able to duplicate the issue yourself (or myself, even) makes it difficult to diagnose, so I really do appreciate your looking into this. Thanks!

I've noticed one common element in each of the iframe tags that gets posted. They all seem to have an ID that starts with this:

MoatPxIOPT0

I only got one Google result for it, but it appears to be related to an advertiser. I'm going to look into this a bit further to see if it's ad related since that's the only common link between desktop and mobile now that your members have provided their various user agents.

I think there's one thing the affected users can do to help narrow it down in the meantime, assuming the iframe tag gets added before they submit the post. Feel free to relay this:

Before submitting your completed post when creating or replying to a thread switch back and forth between the Preview and BBCode tabs of the posting page at least 2 times. If you end up in the Preview tab after doing this open the BBCode tab once more. If you're on the mobile view this won't apply to you as you only have a BBCode editor.

Check the entire post for any iframe tags (usually starting with <iframe) or press Ctrl+F and type iframe into the search window that appears to jump directly to any mentions of it on the page.

Assuming you find an iframe tag within your post I'd like you to use the Report Ad link at the very bottom of the page and submit reports for all three ads on the current page with the reporting reason being something to do with the iframe issue (just so we can identify that the reports came from the users mentioned to us).
