Section 25a forum suspension

Hi, my forum terrierspirit.boards.net has been suspended without warning.

Any ideas why please? When the page opens, this is displayed.

“In accordance with Section 25(a) of the ProBoards Terms of Service, this forum has been taken offline.”

Terms of Service deletions are handled by our abuse department which can be contacted by emailing [e-mail].

The same problem I had with my first forum. You probably used link to online watching or "things" that we're copyrighted.
In my case I used link to watch movies online ... and my forum was closed with 25(a). I don't know, maybe you used other things that are against PROBOARDS ToC

I sent mail to the adress Brian said, and never got an aswer to be honest. But I found out what the problem was, and didnt made it again with this forum!

I'd also like to note that the abuse department replies to everyone. Just because you didn't receive an answer you liked doesn't mean you "never got an answer".

To be fair, though, Michael, repeating the same error as you receive when your forum is closed isn't really an answer. It tells you nothing about what you did wrong so you can avoid it in the future.

Granted, this hasn't happened to me, but we've all see it said here over and over. It's truly not right to give such a generic response. It's completely unhelpful.

The alternative is me exposing people publicly here when they complain about it with claims of "I never did that" when email responses of their violations are sent to them. We can't then post the content that violated here on support.

Bottom line, people are never gonna be happy, no matter what we do or say. IMO of the things I've seen people try to fight and ask "why was my forum deleted" its always been super obvious to anyone who even looks at the forum in question.

I don't mean that the reasons why should be posted here. That's none of our business. I'm solely referring to when people post that they enquired and got essentially a 'non-answer'. If they are being truthful - which none of us have any way to know - then that is what I'm saying is not right. Everyone deserves to know what rule(s) they broke, even if it should seem obvious to them.

I was a member of a good forum called "The Nut House".  Most of the members were conservatives who expressed conservative thought.  Undoubtedly, management of ProBoards is run by liberals who don't believe in tolerance and inclusion as that forum was deleted.

bigmur69- That's not how PB operates. If the forum was shut down, it was for just cause, even if *you* didn't see any problem. They have nothing to gain by shutting down forums willy nilly. They lose advertising income that way. I'd suggest you not accuse without knowing facts.

It doesn't work that way. Something majorly against the PB Terms of Service had to have occurred in order for it to be shut down. If a report were made to the abuse department, then it got investigated. They only shut down forums when the offenses are so egregious that they can't be resolved any other way.

Bottom line, neither of us knows what happened, but I am 100% certain it wasn't for what you're insisting it was. Have a good night.

Bologna.  There was no possible reason to shut it down except that it was a site for conservative talk and some liberal got offended and now it's gone.  Liberals constantly censor conservatives.  Twitter, Facebook, Proboards.  Where liberals rule, free speech doesn't exist.

Grimois is an admin of a rival forum and got me shut down.

It seems odd that they think they own the phrase "Downatthemac" even though it was a forum name they stole from someone else years ago. I actually own the domain name "downatthemac.com".

This is incorrect. ProBoards Support itself has been host to political discussions containing a multitude of conservative viewpoints. If the forum that serves as the face of our customer support allows for those viewpoints to be expressed I can't think of any reason a forum containing the same discussions couldn't be created.
