Can't insert hyperlinks in sidebar

I am trying to insert a hyperlink into my sidebar.  It just won't take it.  I can insert it anywhere else in the forum but not there.  Here is the hyperlink.

Can you post exactly what you are using to link your text? Is it possible you are using BB Code instead of HTML as needed?

I am using a hyperlink codes.  I want to put some in my sidebar.

I am almost certain you are using BB Code instead of HTML but I would like to confirm.

Yeah, thats what I thought. What you are using is BB Code which is for posts. You will need to use HTML instead:

<a href="https://www.twinspires.com/">Twinspires</a>
