I'd like to see Brady retire with one more ring but what will be will be. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
What is amazing (to me at least) is the fact that both games went into overtime. I couldn't stay up to watch the Pats in OT---my stomach was in knots as it was.

I really think the Rams should have been flagged on the sideline hit, it was blatant helmet to helmet on a defenseless receiver at the time, but nothing. I think everyone agrees that the hit should have been called, and I'd be surprised if someone doesn't get fired for not making that call on the field. But I'm glad Sean Payton now knows what it feels like to get screwed over by dirty playing. Yeah, the Saints and their fans will likely never get over the non-call, but us Vikings fans also never got over Bountygate either. I never want to see the Saints in the Super Bowl until Sean Payton is gone.

The Saints quarterback, Drew Brees, used to be a Chargers quarterback until he was injured and the team's doctor said he would never be able to play the same again (or something like that.) Which turned out to be true, only he played better, so I have a bit of a soft heart when it comes to the team he plays with. I'd like to see him win a ring. He's a nice guy.

I never want to see the Saints in the Super Bowl until Sean Payton is gone. I remember that Ricky, they beat the crap out of Favre in the NFC title game and the players were paid to hurt him. Williams pulled the same thing as DC here with the Skins.
He was fired and Payton was suspended for a year, If I remember right. He should have been fired as well, and both banned from the league. Not a fan of either the Rams or the Saints, just pointing out the non call.

Brees actually won the Super Bowl in the 2009 season Ricky was referencing above. Seems like a nice guy, and I like to believe he was unaware of what was happening regarding the bounties, but he was in the locker room too so, I don't know.

I guess he could stay and get another 5 for his other hand?!?! Yeah, this guy is playing at a high level at 41 years old. I mean I've seen great QB's get older and rely on their defense to help win, Peyton Manning comes to mind, but Brady is still killing it out there. It's really crazy and even though I'm not a fan, it's exciting to watch. Doesn't matter who is on the team every year, Brady and Belichick seem to make it work. I hate them, but no denying they're a great team and a dynasty.

I was watching some of the bonus features from the Spider-Man: Homecoming DVD. One segment had some banter with Jacob Batalon and Tom Holland talking about if they had Spider-Man's powers what would they do. Sports was brought up, Jacob said it would be cheating, and Tom responded with cheating in sports being a common thing and then made a comment about "some balls being deflated".
I had a laugh at this as we all know that's a reference to the Patriots and "deflategate".
Then it made me think about this "legend" Tom Brady. Sure he'll be in the hall of fame and what not, but how sad that his legacy is not a clean one, and will always be tarnished by the cheating allegations. I mean what's the point of being great at something if there's doubt your achievements are on the up and up? And definitely not the example I'd want to set for my kids.

"On his poster, he included the results of experiments he did with his mom and sister. Each of them threw footballs of varying inflation, and he measured the distance of each one and calculated the average. He found that the least inflated football traveled the farthest, therefore giving Brady a competitive advantage." Well, there you go, his Mom and sister threw the deflated balls farther, sounds scientific enough for me. I mean, they throw as well as a 5 time Super Bowl winning QB right? Sure, the 10 year old has it all figured out, lol.
Rooting for New England and Brady now, just think they're the better team.

It's kind of sad that this child got an A (I do believe) on this non-scientific project! Did he deflate his balls to the same degrees as the equipment keeper (or whatever they are called)did? He hates the Pats so much --it's just a game folks---that I worry about what kind of person he is going to grow up being.

Don't be sorry, root for the team you want to win! Coming in, I didn't care about any team left in the playoffs but the Chiefs, really like Reid and Mahomes. And I said I didn't want the Patriots to win another ring, and would root against them.
Then, I got to thinking about the NFC title game, not the penalty that wasn't called so much, but the performance of QB Jared Goff. Just didn't strike me as a QB who belongs in the Super Bowl. Hey, what do I know? He's there and I'm not so... But, I've been watching the NFL for a long time and I've seen some great players, and Goff doesn't strike me as being there yet. Felt like he was struggling. I know they have a good back in Gurely, but he's coming off an injury, so he might not be 100 percent. I just think going into it the Patriots are the better team, and as tired as I am of seeing them win, they definitely earn every victory. So, I'm rooting for them because I just think they're the better team that's all.
