I tried the Marquee and it was not what I needed. The news feed one could be OK but I am not clever enough to sort it, like placing it where I want on the page. I will just run with what you told me, as apart from the text not being centred it is pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks for your help The Random News Feed plugin only requires you to add a single line where you want it to be displayed: <div class="msg-rnf"></div> So, it bears to question: Which page(s) and location do you want it displayed at? Once that is known, we can let you know exactly where to put that line above. As far as getting it to show an image, when you're in the plugin's settings, click on the News Feeds tab. In the News Line box, place an image using HTML, like this: <img src="http://storage.proboards.com/6303556/images/RGSZLuwljrEsfTNEVDuA.png" width="32px" height="32px" />This is just a test with an image in Random News Feed. CAUTION: If you are using a large image, be sure to set the width and height attributes (like I did in the code line above) - or else it will not look pretty. Also note that the image does need to be hosted online somewhere. If you need further help with the Random News plugin, my support thread for it can be found here: support.proboards.com/thread/569571/random-newsThank you very much. I will look at this again. I only want this 'extra' feed to appear on the main page at the bottom of that page. Help how I do this would be much appreciated.

You can follow Scott's steps above - I've quoted it for easy reference: media50 , • Go to Admin > Structure > Layout Templates. • Click on the Home template. • Scroll to the very bottom and on a brand new line add this: $[news] • Click the Save Changes Button. That's it! Instead of putting $[news] there, put <div class="msg-rnf"></div>
and Save your changes.

Thanks again. Sorry I am asking what to you must seem ridiculous questions.
I did what you said but it doesn't work, I just get this:
This page isn’t working Chrome detected unusual code on this page and blocked it to protect your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers and credit cards). Try visiting the site's homepage. ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR

Try visiting the site's homepage. ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR I went to your forum and it is displaying at the bottom. However, you have an error in the plugin. Go to Admin > Plugins > Manage, click on the Random News Feed plugin's name (not the Edit button) to get to its settings. In the News Line, you have this: http://u.cubeupload.com/media50/201608230415381previ.jpg That's a link, but not one that will show an image. Change that line to this: <img src="http://u.cubeupload.com/media50/201608230415381previ.jpg" /> to get the image to display. Here's where Random News is getting displayed:

Thank you and I hope you have a good Christmas and Happy New Year If you don't want the image that large, you can add the width and height attributes to your liking. Be sure the attributes are within the <img> tag, like so: <img src="http://u.cubeupload.com/media50/201608230415381previ.jpg" width="64px" height="64px" />
Note that the width and height come before the closing />Enter just 1 of them (width or height) to maintain aspect ratio. Glad you got it working! Have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year yourself!

Just piggy backing onto the back of this thread. Is there a way to enlarge the newsfeed area so it is more prominent than the current single line entry. Maybe also add colour to it to highlight it.

Per the rules of this board, you should start your own thread - even if the issue is the same or similar. Feel free to link back to this thread though.
