Hi, I'm not sure which forum here would be appropriate for this.
I was originally upset when I found out the Monetary System plugin was removed from the Plugin Library, but then found out I can still get it from a GitHub page which I have done. After added it to my newer forum which I had been meaning to do for a long while, I noticed that it was a few versions behind being version 0.9.3 while the version on my older forum - mouserhideaway.freeforums.net being 0.9.6 there. I figured that I as going to need to export it from the old forum and add it to the newer forum, but I couldn't figure out how to as I couldn't find an export option anywhere to do it.
I'm also just upset the plugin is said to not be coming back until v6 comes out when there is no mention that I have seen anywhere when that will happen, and don't understand why there doesn't seem to be any discussion anywhere regarding back porting or backwards compatibility for v5 plugins that are widely used now.
I'm just confused and hope someone can help me here.

Hi, Erik Mouse. Peter only uploaded 0.9.3 to his GitHub repository, so 0.9.6 isn't available to anyone who doesn't already have it installed or downloaded. Plugins can be updated, made exportable, or outright removed from the library at the plugin author's discretion. The author is under no obligation to continue supporting a plugin or make it available for download by users who installed it previously. I'm also just upset the plugin is said to not be coming back until v6 comes out when there is no mention that I have seen anywhere when that will happen, and don't understand why there doesn't seem to be any discussion anywhere regarding back porting or backwards compatibility for v5 plugins that are widely used now. This also falls under the same circumstances. All of the work that goes into a plugin is done by its author. It's ultimately up to them to decide whether or not to update it to be compatible with v6. We can't force them to continue working on their code that they've provided to the community completely free. Should they choose to no longer support their plugin another author can come along and create a new one that fulfills the same purpose if they so desire.

I have already looked in there, but it didn't help me as it wouldn't come up under Build to export it.

Hi again,
Did you select the Plugin you wanted to export on the build page? That is when a series of tabs come up, the last one being export...

Hi,
Not all plugins have an open build and allow you to export them unless the author has allowed you to do so.

The Monetary System has no build option because you wouldn't be able to do anything with it anyway. Even with all the source on GitHub you would struggle unless you knew how to pack the code correctly to make it fit in the JavaScript component. The version on GitHub that Brian mentioned is for some reason a few versions behind. This is probably because the UI never changed. What you would need to do is pack up all the JavaScript and then place it into the JavaScript component yourself. You have to make sure to pack it up tightly, or it will not fit (it will appear too, but on save and reloading it will be cut off). A simple minification doesn't do the trick though. ORYou can simply download the release I just published to save you the headache. github.com/PopThosePringles/ProBoards-Monetary/releases/tag/0.9.7
