Hello,
so I encountered some problems when I tried to log in to my proboards accounts with chrome. This is the first time for me after years of accessing proboards from Chrome. I can't log into my account, it's stuck in the account pages where you can choose which account you like to login into (if you have multiple accounts). Currently, I'm typing this support thread through Microsoft Edge which seems fine. I can access my proboards accounts and this happens to all proboards forums (in Chrome I can't access all my accounts in any proboards forums but in Microsoft Edge, I can). I cleared cookies and caches, still won't work.
Note: Though the chrome's refresh button shows that it's loading and changed into an X but it won't load anything.
Edit: Alright, I found the problem but this is weird. This is the first time it happens to me. It's because of my IDM Extension? I disabled the extension and I can log in to my accounts. But, I've used the extension for a long time, no problem until today.
Thank you so much ~

You can log in, but you cannot select the account you want to post from, correct? Can you explain what is happening while on page showing the list of accounts in Chrome? If you try to click on one of the accounts, what happens? What error are you receiving? Is it just sitting there and not loading after you click on an account?

Correct, I click on one of the accounts, no errors and such. It stays there but the refresh button on the top bar of Chrome changed into an X which means it's loading but nothing happens, it won't load.

Sounds like there's some incompatibility between your IDM extension and your version of Chrome. Be sure your Chrome updates are current first. Then, where did you get the extension? If you didn't download it directly from the IDM website it may have issues. I don't remember where I read about that but there was information concerning phony IDM downloads coming through the Google store.

I was starting to think that if it was an IDM Plugin for ProBoards that is causing this, that I would contact the author of said plugin to let them know of the issue so they can work on a resolution for it.

I don't believe there is a ProBoards plug-in for IDM. This is a Chrome extension, not a plug-in.

So I do know that Chrome 72 is incompatible with some extensions / applications that handle anchor tag downloads; I ran into this at work with one of our internal dev tools as well. It’s possible if you have updated your IDM extension lately that they made a patch to address the issue which rendered it incompatible somehow with PB.
