Hello irontongue

Yes, that's possible and rather easy to do. The root Admin (user/1) and any member of the Administrator group has the 'Approve New Members' power enabled. Because of that power they'll see a couple of additional choices for getting email notification when they edit their own profile (Notifications tab):

Choose the type of email notification from the New User dropdown.

As far as getting used to the new environment, the Support staff has given us some very useful resources like the Help Guide. In my personal experience, I've browsed it on occasion just to expand my knowledge base. Some of my questions were answered by just reading. In other cases, I needed to create a thread and ask.

We're always welcome to make a thread for any issue we have. I just wanted to make you aware of other options. Oh, and Welcome to the ProBoards family!

It worked fine for a bit, now I'm not receiving emails anymore.

Did they end up in your spam folder?

Sometimes the frequency can cause some providers to assume they're spam.

We've sent you 123 notifications today so far.

I see no indication that they've stopped working, quite the contrary. You may want to check with your email provider to see if they've blocked emails from us due to things like flood protection.

Edit: The last email was sent around 20 minutes ago.

What were they all for?

I will check with my email provider tomorrow to see what the issue is.

I have no idea what they were for but I have a log of each of them successfully leaving our server (status=sent). Beyond us successfully sending them, whatever happens past that is between your email provider and you.

I've been getting emails from everywhere else to the email I had registered.

I just recently changed it.
