Forum URL: gbdressageforum.boards.netwe are getting messages that our forum has exceeded our storage limit. We’ve deleted what photos we can, however reading other posts with this issue it seems our admin would need to do some housekeeping or upgrade. Our admin has not logged on to the forum for over 10 months now and we have no way to contact them to hand over ownership. Can anything be done to increase storage or hand over admin rights without the uncontactable admin initiating it?

littlecritter, unfortunately at this time there is nothing that can be done in regards to the storage limit or admin rights. I would have you recommend to the members to use an image hosting service and then use the Insert Image button to embed the photos in the post. This method does not affect attachment storage. There is no limit on using image links. Our Help Guide article of External Resources has a list of forum-friendly image hosting services.

Thanks for your reply, I’ll pass it on. At what point can something be done ref admin rights? We currently have no admin and no moderator. We are all getting along fine but we aware that if something were to happen, there’s absolutely nothing we could do about it.

littlecritter, there is not a specific time as each forum's need may be different, however generally there has to be an absence of at least one year. So long as you're fine, as you stated, that's good. Should something arise, just come here, make a thread, and we'll go from there.
