Forum URL: techmanpoker.proboards.comGetting "in accordance with Section 25(a) of the ProBoards Terms of Service, this forum has been taken offline" Tell me what I did and will fix it... 99% of my recent work has been deleting old threads. Have only added one link and that was to another poker forum. Respectfully, Tim Crosby

Hi friend, unfortunately TOS removals aren't handled on this forum. Please reach out to abuseteam@proboards.com instead.
Sorry I can't be more help!

thetechman , TOS is an acronym for Terms of Service. You can review our Terms of Service as well as the Community Guidelines which is part of the TOS. The Abuse Department handles issues relating to our Terms of Service and any relevant complaints or violations. Here at this forum we are the Support Department and we offer technical support for the forums.

Just trying to figure it out and fix it.
No ill intent no links on the forum were revenue generating or directly to a gambling site.
Happy to fix and say sorry.
Would be nice to get my old content back.
Two emails sent - no response. Crazy 99.99% of the content was there for 10 years unchanged.
Thanks you! Tim Crosby Techman

Deleted in a day without notification, just like my case 25a, it says deletion is their right even without problems. This is absolutely the worst experience when using ProBoards.

Rino Sarema, please don't hijack other people's threads.
Also, it might be good to review the community guidelines and Terms of Service, so that perhaps you can figure out what went wrong in case you decide to try again. It's worth mentioning that PB doesn't just remove forums for no reason. That's a loss of ad revenue. Whenever possible, they will send the forum owner a private message to remove problematic content, which has to be completed within 48 hrs. They only remove forums when the amount of content to be deleted is too widespread, or if the admin ignores the request to remove the material that is against the ToS.

Only one thing I have done recently that could remotely be considered a violation. :-) happy to remove, was simply trying to give users/readers a link to a site that does discuss rack back on poker sites as well as bonus hunting. I am almost 100% a tournament player. Will be for more careful moving forward - if given the opportunity.
TY for the 48 hours time frame will be patient.
Respectfully,
Techman

The real problem is, the bigger the forum you create, the greater the risk of closing it. That could happen if a user of your forum accidentally posts a note that PB considers infringing, be ready to go.

That could happen if a user of your forum accidentally posts a note that PB considers infringing, be ready to go. That's not true at all. Please avoid spreading misinformation. A one-off, accidental posting by a member will likely generate a warning sent to the forum admin with a request to remove the specifically offending content as well as a request to review all forum content for other possible issues within a particular time frame. PB will also work with admins that have time constraints or other issues with the timeframe. PB doesn't arbitrarily remove forums as that's their only source of revenue. If a forum is removed entirely, that generally indicates either a) the admin did not address a warning in the time provided, or b) the whole forum was found to be operating counter to the ProBoards Terms of Service.

I have a newly created forum that PB doesn't even have members taken offline, because I just joined maybe I was wrong because I made a coding error, maybe that's what triggered them to take action. And I was subject to a violation in article 25 a where the item did not provide clear information about the violation I had committed, that's what happened.

And I was subject to a violation in article 25 a where the item did not provide clear information about the violation I had committed, that's what happened. If you are having this issue, then you need to contact abuseteam@proboards.com ; I can say, after 15 years of being a user here, PB doesn't arbitrarily take things down. 25a is intentionally vague because it's citing that they do not have to provide a warning -- they generally do, as a courtesy, but it is not something they are obligated to do. I would refer you to the ProBoards Terms of Service specifically Section 19, Objectionable Content. 25a is cited as to how your forum was taken down (in other words, PB is allowed to do so because of 25a, which you agreed to when creating your forum), but the cause would have to be objectionable content. Contact the abuse team and while you're waiting -- it can take up to 48 hours to hear back -- review the TOS and see if you did anything that would cause an issue. With all due respect, please don't spread misinformation. You made a few assumptions here, and didn't seek to clarify, and spread your assumptions. Your intentions of helping were admirable, but always verify what you think by reaching out to the PB team first.
