No email, no warning, no nothing. Months of work gone. Can't even be bothered to say what it violated or when you took it down.
Pretty repulsive.

No email, no warning, no nothing. Months of work gone. Can't even be bothered to say what it violated or when you took it down. Pretty repulsive. For whatever it's worth, no one here can really speak to any actions the PB abuse team has taken. If you're the forum owner, you may want to contact abuseteam@proboards.com with your inquires. Do be sure to provide the URL, as that will be necessary if there is anything that can be shared. I will gently note though that PB isn't in the habit of removing forums for no reason as it negatively impacts their revenue. If a forum was removed for a TOS violation, either the admin of the forum had been sent a notice via PM that was not addressed in a timely manner (this is often the situation), or the forum's purpose went against the ProBoards Terms of Service. I hope you're able to find the answers that you seek. Best of luck, and I am sorry we can't provide more information.

Well what a lovely answer. Bless you especially after the tone of the post. Thank you. It had nothing that would be considered inappropriate at all, it was part of an ARG. I am the admin so I know I got no email or warning. I'm sure they had their reasons but god, I'd like to have all those posts back or I'd backed them up. /sigh Nvm and thanks for the lovely answer and info

I am the admin so I know I got no email or warning. I'm sure they had their reasons but god, I'd like to have all those posts back or I'd backed them up. /sigh Nvm and thanks for the lovely answer and info Just to clear it up, PB would not have emailed you about a violation, but rather sent the main admin account (the user/1 account) a PM using the ProBoards "super admin" account. If you haven't logged into the forum for a bit, it's likely that you missed the PM which generally gives 48 hours for the admin to respond. If you're confident that nothing on your forum was contrary to the ProBoards Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, then I would reach out to the aforementioned email (abuseteam@proboards.com). I will note that a lot of times ARG/RP forums tend to get in hot water surrounding 'mature content' since ProBoards only allows content that "fades to black" or is otherwise appropriate for folks as young as 13, so that could potentially be a culprit if you had any spicy content (whether sexual, language, violence, etc). Best of luck! PS: It's also worth noting that PB doesn't allow self-backups of forum content and disallows any content-scraping per the PB TOS. You are only allowed to download a .csv of your own content, which will also be devoid of the context of other people's posts, due to copyright and content ownership considerations (in other words, you own the content you personally posted, but you would not own the content someone else posted).
