What about a thumbnail image? I know image shack will let you add a thumbnail which will open in another window to fullsize when you click on it. If you want it to be a specific size, just resize it before you add it to your image hosting site. EDIT: I just reread your original post and realized that you want a different image..not the same one..sorry bout that!

Here's my first attempt at a worm image. Took me a while to figure out how to get it to blend right with the previous one..but I think it turned out ok..for my first try. http://i49./f251/Teestorms/Young%20and%20Restless/Worm3A.jpg EDIT: Oh..and please add me again, so I can get some more "practice".

I agree, Joliver..I wouldn't want to delete a skin every time I make a new one. I might want to use that skin again! Plus..it's nice to have a variety of skins to choose from. Instead of deleting anything, you could send a PM to all members informing them of the new skin. Then they will get to decide whether or not they want to use it. The drawback to this is that if you use gradient codes, the images from the skin you are currently using will show up on ALL skins..which might look really bad. There is a code you can use to get around that..but it's a bit complicated..especially if you have 3 or more skins. Also..just so you know..whatever skin you select as default is the skin all guests will see.

Are you able to access the menu options when you are logged in? If so, you might be able to go into Members and get the name of the admin. Their email address should be listed there as well..so you could contact them that way. Chances are, there's a code in their headers or footers that is causing the problem. You could direct them to this thread, if you wish, if they need assitance figuring out what to do.

Hi! I see what you mean about that banner..I couldn't even copy it the first time I tried..I had to refresh the page several times before I could download the gif file. Once I was able to download it, I played around with it with my animator....only I think I may have made it worse instead of better. Anyway, I culled the frames down by 50%..(every other frame)..but I think that might have made it look choppy..even though I slowed down the animation speed as well. Then I compressed it before I saved it. This reduced the file size from over 5 megabytes to 1 MG..a huge difference! Here's what it looks like now: It looks pretty awful..I won' t argue that..but hey..I had a lot of fun messing with it! Also I wanted to say that as far as I know you can't embed any other graphic image into a header other than .jpg, .gif, .png..and maybe .bmp. Someone else might know of a way..so I'll turn this thread over to whoever else wants to take a stab at it!

You said in your first post that the file-type you currently have this animation in is a .gif. Could you possibly post a link to this animation so we can take a look at it? Gif animations can be used on the board, but it can cause problems is the file size is too large. You said there were 120 some frames in it. This can most llikely be cut down substantially to make for a smaller file.

Did you mean to make an active link where the blue and green text is? You said you wanted us to look at the menu options there..but the link is dead.

Also, there should be an option called "buttonize"..at least there is in the PSP program I use. The buttonize option makes it much easier..it will make edges around each icon to give it a raised or "3D" effect.

I agree with the others..excellent work on this tag! The colors and textures blend perfectly! The only thing I would possibly change is the black border..maybe make it a dark wine or maroon color. Also I would maybe stretch the text vertically a bit and move it to the right so that it is centered in that dark corner.

So did your friend actually design individual menu icons..or did she just design an image (the one you posted) that shows what the menu buttons could look like? If that is the case, and you want someone to design some buttons for you, you could place your request here. It's the graphic request board.

I like the overall feel of this banner. It has a slighty creepy affect..which I assume is what you are looking for. I am curious about the eyes, however. The left eye has hair over part of it..yet the visable part of the eye is totally white. Is that deliberate to make the image look even creepier? ;D
The only thing I might change would be the font of the text. Maybe use a broken or jagged font or something to add to the total effect of the banner.

Thanks for your reply tumbleweed. Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you sooner. I tried the splash page code, but it didn't affect the image at all. Everything stayed the same. The repeating background you see is the image I have added through the skin options..it isn't in the main header like the one I have below the menu bar. The link in my original post is to a dummy board that I use for designing new skins. On my main board I do have a header image on the top of the board, so I'm not sure why I cant have one on this board as well. I want to transfer all the images on the dummy board to the main board, but not until I figure out how to get that image to the top. I have all the codes identical on both boards..except for the different gradients. At least I think I do! Here's the link to my main board. terristorms.proboards52.com. I'm not able to open it to guests, but you can see that the header image is at the top. That's where I want it in my dummy board. I guess I will have to wait for Craig to check to see if he can figure out how I can get the header image on this board to the top as well. EDIT: I decided to just go ahead and transfer the images to my main board as they are..and fortunately, the header image did transfer to the top of the main board where I wanted it..so I really don't need any more help with this..thanks anyway!

How do I move the header image I have on the front page to the top? Right now, it is below the menu options and the welcome box, and I want it to be the first thing you see when you log on. Thanks! Our Little Family
