You do realize that Copy Protection can be broken just like that? All you have to do is mount it to a virtual drive with Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools and your copy protection is no more. It's rarely really worth going through the trouble, unless you know the people who might copy it are computer illiterate.

There is no way to make a copyprotected Data CD. Games rely on planted courrupted data at specfec locations on the CD. When run the game checks for for these "Planted" sectors. If the sectors are not here, then the game will not run.
HOWEVER the data can still be copied off of the CD.
So what you are wanting to do is not possible. There is no way for the computer to tell the difference between copying files off of the disk, or opening the files directly from the disk.

^ Thats disappointing The movie industry has been trying to keep their DVD's from being copied. But every time they come up with a new encryption, someone cracks it. Sony spend nearly a year on their latest encryption scheme, and someone cracked it in 72 hours. So even if it was possible, if someone wanted a copy of your data, they could get it.

Starforce 4 protection for games hasn't been cracked yet properly. If you want to buy that technology, you'll have your files protected for a few more days. Seriously though, Starforce protection is probably the best one out there. Starforce 3 protects Toca Race Driver 2 and I haven't seen it PROPERLY cracked yet (meaning that it works good). Starforce 4 protects GTA: San Andreas for PC and it was half cracked. It doesnt work fully.

SHOUVIK, I think you'll be safe with one of those. No offense, but you're still a pretty small operation. I don't think anyone will be trying to crack anything for awhile.
