Man there are tonds of stubbern people here at PB. Whenever I make a comment, or if I make something that is interesting to talk about. People are always backstabbing me or anyone in the thread after I make it! Even when I am trying to just making a poll about something, people WON'T add to it or even look at it. It just gets me aggravated!

Yeah, I sometimes get off bat and get mad, but its just because the people that makes comments to get me mad are the real out of line people here. It just not makes my day when people does not pay attention to me or when they make rude comments and how thats going to make me react! For once I would like people here to know that I am not a nut case, I am just someone that just wants attention and that I am not as bad as I really am. Even if I show that I am really bad. </rant>

SO, do anyone else want to do a rant about this place or whatever

ProBoards gettin' ya down? Go outside, stand in the sun for a while, take a deep breath and come back inside. For every person that aggravates you here, there are a ton of people who are nice, decent, and kind. You're seeing the weeds in the beautiful lawn.

There are poopie-heads everywhere, and the Internet is no exception. I'm sorry you're having a rough time of it here, but my advice would be to not let it get to you--you'll enjoy yourself a lot better that way.

There are a lot of members here at PB Support, and to expect someone to make a reply directly to you every time you post is a bit ambitious, unless your name is Patrick Clonker. Not many replies to your thread or poll? Look around GT. Some threads have a lot of replies, others don't. Looking back at your most recent posts here I can't actually see that you have anything to be complaining about on that basis.

Everyone is different and people dont' have to reply to your threads. People just like expressing their oppinion so don't let it get to you if someone is putting your thread down.

Renegade, im not talking directly about this board. I am aslo talking about pbgeneraltalk.proboards47.com/index.cgi. Even though not many people are getting on that board any more, it is still home of rude people.

dont fret about it ....its nothing to be upset about...there are good days here and bad days.....even now I am still getting picked on.....they leave me out of everything and never tell me anything.....I am always the last to know...most of the time my threads bite the big one...and other times people are eating other people.....just be yourself and be patient,......we all get our chance on that wonderful lawn Wildmaven talked about.

Just don't let them bother you. 99% of them are inconsiderate jerks if they do that. Just ignore them, its not like they can do it to you every second of the day. Could try just quitting PB, that worked for me for like 3 months.

While I don't see what you are specifically talking about, I did see that you stated you did, in fact, want attention. Perhaps you are trying a little too hard? Attention usually falls to those who are not seeking, as where those who are seeking it come off the wrong way to others.

I don't know if you are or not, I'm just making an observation about the usual situation, offering food for thought.

I remember the very first time I posted a message on a message board. It was over 15 years ago! I posted a message and waited...and waited... I was depressed that no one had answered my message. Since then, I have learned many lessons to posting. Here are some of them:

1. If you post just a statement, others might not reply. Instead, end your message with a question, inviting others to submit their opinions.

2. Read and re-read your message before sending it. Could it be interpreted in two different ways? Sometimes saying it out loud if you're not sure can really help. (I know, it only feels silly the first few times) Remember, the reader can't see the smile on your face or the frown, so your words need to explain the emotion you are trying to show.

3. Don't rely on icons to express your emotions, either. Some people turn off their graphics while surfing to speed up their connections.

4. Turn off the Caps Lock key. Typing in all caps is hard to read and can make it seem as if you are shouting.

5. Don't post only when something bad happens to you. This will turn members away quickly. We're all here for you if you have a bad day, but we'd like to see the happier side of you, too.

6. Try to stay within the topic of the board. A joke once in a while is fine, but if you find that's all you're posting, perhaps there is a board that would better suit your needs.

7. Do you respond to other messages by telling something about yourself? We all do this once in a while. However, if everytime you reply to a message, you only talk about yourself, people may start to skip over your replies. This is especially true about tragedies or triumphs. When something bad or good has happened to someone, they want our emotional attention. They really don't want to hear a story from you that can top their story. Remember, it's not always about YOU.
