Skirts being banned in schools

When the skirt doesn't cover everything, it's not discrimination, it's public indecency. Sexism has been around for a long, long time.

Girls should be allowed to wear skirts if they want but I do not agree that they have to be about 4 inches of fabric. Have some self descency to wear a skirt that doesn't make you look like a tramp.

My prob with it is that it is the younger teens between 13 and 17 dressing like that. It's like as soon as you hit 18 some people realize that they don't have to impress people with how they dress... I mean common your going to school to learn not to attract boys
I don't know about you but it makes me uncomfortable to see girls like that. I don't want to see their butt in something that doesn't fit properly... I don't think the teachers want to see it either.
We had the same prob at my Highschool. We had a school uniform and the students tried to get away with rolling it as short as they could. I believe there should be a lenght requirement for it though and not a total ban on them.

At my school, you can wear skirts, but since it's a Catholic school, they have to be a certain length. And I'm a fan of skirts. ;D

It's the parents' fault on this one. The parents need to know this and stop being their child's best friend. Parents are supposed to be a guide, not a "lifetime best-friend."

I find now that I am older (19) my parents have become more of a friend to me than when I was growing up. My parents would never let me out of the house the way that most girls are allowed out in. I don't think I owned/own a short skirt... I dont feel comfortable myself in them and often wonder if these girls feel comfortable in them as well or if they are just doing it to get attention.
